I bought a Size 11 for my 5 year old. It was far too small; it was the size of a 10. Also, the heel was VERY wide. My son has wide feet and these shoes were slipping off of his heels despite the fact that they were too small in length!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Higgy Great quality and fit!
We have ordered these now for several years for our son and daughters. We are very happy with the quality as they are not gentle on their shoes!! They are very easy to get on and off, don't stink if they dont wear socks and they look new for a long time. They wear them with jeans, sweatpants or even to church. Highly recommend them!

My sons loved their Merrill mocs and wore them until there was nothing left to wear. I just bought the periwinkle color woman's mocs for myself , my mom and MIL. WE ALL LOVE THE FITAND COMFORT

Got the bright pink ones for my five year old. Wanted an alternative to sneakers and mary janes for cooler fall days. She is IN LOVE with them. They are comfy, seem true to size and just look great. She didn't want to take them off last night. Now, if they would get them in a bright blue my older daughter would love some, too.
Thanks for a great shoe, LLBEAN!

Rated 4 out of 5 by LoyalinAA Color and camo
The black current color was perfect for my daughter for years. She is too old for this new bright fushia... that is a shocking color. Sadly, this will be the first time in 7 years we won't have these wonderful, durable shoes for her. The other colors make her feel like she is wearing her father's shoes. The camo strap on these and on the fleece jackets just lessens the look. Will be returning the jacket. Not sure if you are hitting the right demographic here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by butterflylover Love the subdued currant color
My daughter has been wearing these year after year, in all sizes. They are the best shoes, versatile, durable, and the currant color has been perfect--- feminine without being too girly. I am buying the next size up for my daughter (and I might even wear them!) since the new color is too bright for our taste. Wish the flower embroidery was available in other colors too, like brown and black... would be willing to pay a few extra bucks for those flowers, if you can offer it as an option like monogram.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Donkie99 Great shoes
Okay I don't write reviews, but my son is wearing these shoes still after a full year. He has no sneakers these are his dress and day shoes and they made it through a year of hard living. I've never seen shoes survive this kind of abuse. (I have five kids.)

We had to buy shoes for school last year and bought them in July/August 2013 and they lasted through the school year and into summer, 2014. What great shoes!! My 7 yr old can be hard on shoes but they held up through rain, snow, playing outside and they were still in great shape to use as dress shoes on occasion. Highly recommend. One draw back - don't see them in black this year?.only brown? What gives LLBean????

Rated 2 out of 5 by PegGirl Camo strap makes them unsuitable for school
My son loves these shoes .. we have had several pairs in different colors ... he is starting at a private Catholic school next year with a dress code and I was thinking these would be great to use as his school shoes (comfortable but likely dressy enough for a 6 year old) but for the camo strap. It makes them way too casual to meet uniform requirements.

Rated 1 out of 5 by sadaboutmocs A great shoe ruined by a ridiculous camo strap
What used to be dressy, all occasion shoes have been ruined by the decision to add a camo strap. Even cutting it off doesn't help because it goes down the back of the shoe. I guess they wanted to distinguish their shoe in some way but it really detracts from the dressy look of the shoe.
