I have been purchasing/wearing this shirts for many years. They are very comfortable with a long tail that stays put. There are a wonderful three season shirt. They are color fast and nearly wrinkle free. I have yet to lose a button or have a elbow wear out. They are my favorite shirt. In the spring I wear them as an outer shirt/jacket over a lighter weight shirt. My wife occasionally wears one as a night shirt on a cold winters night. To sum this up. It is a quality product that does what it promises. It will not disappoint.

Sizing is WAY off. Bought a medium and thought I was 5 years old wearing my grandfather's old fishing shirt. Size down and you'll be fine. Love the material and the thickness. It's a winner.

I have always worn XL in shirts from LL Bean. I received a solid color Chamois shirt as a gift at Christmas and it fit perfectly. I then purchased a plaid Chamois shirt in XL and it was much too large. The sleeves came down to the end of my fingers and the overall length of the shirt was almost to my knees. It was like it was labeled incorrectly and should have been an XL Tall or an XXL.
I live close to Freeport and returned the shirt and proceeded to try on a Large shirt of the same style. It fit perfect. Other than the sizing problem, the shirt is very nice and looks great on.

This is my favorite shirt. I bought it in September and I wear it whenever I can. I purchased a small. I'm 6', 175lbs with a 38" chest and 33" waist. My sleeve is about 34". The medium had longer sleeves but the chest and waist was too big. The shirt measures 42" around at the armpits.
I was worried the shirt would shrink, so I washed it in cold water and hung it to try the first few times. No noticeable shrinkage. The fabric feels great. No signs of wear yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NateF Tad smaller fit than usual
Bought a classic fit forest green; absolutely love the style, quality and heritage of this shirt! I did noticed that the chamois shirts seem to fit a tad smaller than other L.L.Bean shirts I have. I own three of the classic fit tartan plaid flannels & a graphic t-shirt. Feels tight in the armpits. I'm a size M classic fit which I feel fits like a L in any other brand but I feel these fit closer to a true M. I'm going to try a L classic fit & L modern fit and possibly exchange. I'm 5'11 1/2''/195lbs/34"x32" waist/average build. One more thing; these shirts will shrink slightly but not substantially.

This year's shirt is slightly heavier material and a better cut than in previous years. The arm outlets are much roomier, allowing for more freedom of movement during outdoor activities and work. Slightly roomier in the chest and shoulders, also. A great improvement! I've ordered 5 in various colors, solid and plaid. Much more functional than past incarnations, don't change the cut/fit, please! My only further recommendation is to make the chest pockets an inch or two deeper to accommodate a cell phone. Thanks!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chrispin Unmatched, Unwavering Quality
This shirt has been a staple of the brand since the beginning and there has been no signs of the quality going down. In fact, the updated unbreakable plastic buttons and the double stitching only make this shirt even better. The fabric is so incredibly soft yet sturdy feeling and thick. The fit is a bit large but I wear this as a top layer as it is easy to put a crew neck sweater or another flannel underneath. This is a MUST HAVE if you are an LL Bean fan as it belongs in any wardobe

Rated 3 out of 5 by JoPhil I agree, way too big
I am 6'2" 225 lb, and the X-Large was incredibly huge on me. I was too lazy to return it, so gave it to my 6'4" brother in law. The standard XL was billowy in the chest for him as well. Otherwise, quality seems good.

I just got this shirt because it is the, " Bean shirt", that the founder wore over 100 years ago. The short video that they have displayed sold me. My wife loves it and it just feels like 100% quality. Thanks L. L. Bean, you never cease to amaze me.
