Without peer! The Apple Cinnamon pattern of this chamois shirt makes it the most attractive shirt available. The fabric is soft yet robust, the colors and hues mirror those of autumn, and it washes beautifully. Plan to buy 4 more as Christmas presents. OUTSTANDING!

Rated 5 out of 5 by YankeeWalker Great chill buster
This is like a double-thick flannel shirt, that I normally wear over a t-shirt. This is a good chill buster on a 55-60-degree day, or if you're indoors in a space that's not well heated. Generously proportioned and very cozy too. The solid navy is rather plain looking but I think more presentable than the lumberjack type shirts if worn to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlaskaRob I wear it too often!
I love this shirt's style and unique feel. It seems to get softer with age and use. My wife has threatened to throw it out because I wear it too often. Maybe I should just try some different colors of the same shirt! :)
You can't go wrong with this shirt. Best LL Bean purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RIKKU Bean Chamois Shirt
My Chamois Shirt is warm, very comfortable, and I plan on purchasing more. The quality is superior, I've had no issues with sizes, and I've been totally happy with this purchase....I plan to continue purchasing from L.L. Bean. I could actually apply this review to all the purchases I've made from L. L. Bean (Chamois Shirt, Tartan Flannel Shirts, Wicked Good Flannel Shirts, and Tartan Cotton Shirts). I'm a casual dresser and L.L. Bean shirts look the part for me. In the case of my Wicked Good Flannel shirts they almost look "dressy".
The only observation I could offer is one expressed by others making similar purchases to mine and I agree with these folks. Pocket size! A lot of us like to carry our mobile devices in our shirt pockets, me included and the current pocket size is a bit small to conceal and even carry our devices safely. A bigger pocket on shirts might not be a bad idea. I don't believe "upgrading" that feature would detract from L.L. Bean tradition and it would be a welcome feature change for those of us with mobile devices. I'm looking forward to making many more purchases from L.L. Bean in the future, thank you for all you do!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Loyalc Not the same shirt
My husband has worn Bean chamois shirts for decades but this last purchase will be our last. The medium sizing has changed; the arms are too long. The fabric (in gray heather) also is altered, not the same smooth texture. and drape. Washing had no effect on either problem. Wish we had just sent it back before laundering it. We had the same problem recently with arms being too long on another item we'd purchase from Bean for years.

by Escoe3 Pockets too small to hold Samsung Note 4
My cell phone is the most important item I carry other than my wallet. I bought 4 of these chamois shirts to realize that they could not ever carry my Samsung Note 4 in one of its chest pockets. The pocket is 1" too shallow to allow me to close the flap and button in my phone. This is an important flaw in the shirt design. Such a shame for such a fine shirt to not be able to carry such an essential item. Enlarge the pockets slightly or create a carry pouch.

Rated 5 out of 5 Wonnerful, Wonnerful
This is simply a fabulous shirt: very well made, sturdy yet comfortable, well shaped, with a long tail. This is as good a chamois shirt as any I have ever owned (of perhaps 20, from 10 or more makers). I liked the (stunning) blue shirt so much I quickly bought two more (red and cinnamon). Now I'm almost glad to embrace Winter's cold.
I'm a chubby 6' 1" and found the standard XL shirt to be a good fit, where the sleeves pulled only when I extended to full stretch. But after buying a Tall, I found that extra inch in the sleeves and the slightly longer tail to be better still.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Buttercup2003 Very dissapointed with the material
My Husband loves LLBean Chamois and has been buying them since the late 70's. This Christmas I purchased the usually Chamois Shirts for him and was really disappointed with the quality of the shirts. The shirts after washing & drying were a wrinkled up mess. I washed them 3 times hoping the material would relax, but I finally gave up and sent them to the cleaners. The grey color I bought was the worse. I hope this problem gets fixed and LLBean stops using this material. The colors I bought was Apple Cinn., Char. Gry Hth. & Deep wine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Acemoose This is SOFT and WAAARM
And Stylish. Is very warm, "despite" the softness. Love the color (orange).
How soft is it? If it were any softer, it would be pourable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Scoutpenny My husband loves these shirts!
My husband loves these chamois shirts and now has one in almost every color. Although he doesn't know it yet, I just purchased him a red one for Valentine's Day.
These shirts wash well. I hang them to to dry and there is no need to iron.
The more these shirts are washed it seems the softer and better they get. Great product!
My husband is 6'3"and is happy that the "tall" option is available otherwise they would never be long enough for him.
