Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBBEANER Outstanding in Every Way!
Without peer! The Apple Cinnamon pattern of this chamois shirt makes it the most attractive shirt available. The fabric is soft yet robust, the colors and hues mirror those of autumn, and it washes beautifully. Plan to buy 4 more as Christmas presents. OUTSTANDING!

Rated 2 out of 5 by AlFromWashington Quality has Really Slipped
I have bought these as my primary winter shirts for years. As of last season, I have noticed a substantial drop in the quality. With once a week use and washing for approximately 10 weeks of Washington cold - these used to go two seasons, often longer.
Now with just 5 -6 launderings, the fuzz/nap that provides the warmth is almost gone. I launder these on gentle, and hang dry. My two & three year old shirts are now warmer and look better than last years'.
These are an expensive shirt, I have always been happy to pay for the quality and durability I enjoyed.
Not any more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by foreal Pockets To Small
just received my 2 solid Chamois shirts. i am very satisfied, but with the exception of the pocket size. i always use one of the pockets to carry my cell phone securely, however the pockets are to small and won't button close with the newer large phones these days. they need to be about an inch and a half longer in order to be able to button the pocket closed when used with the newer phones. the shirts are very comfortable and of good quality and would purchase them again, but only wishing the pockets were bigger.

Rated 4 out of 5 by thjj XTRA tag
The extra tag at the neckline is most irritating. Even cutting it off, you can't get enough of it off without cutting the fabric. I wear the shirt very little just due to this one item. Have only found it on the newer color of the plaid chamois shirts. Wish you could find a way to make these shirts tagless or put the labels down the side of the shirt, so they are off the neckline.

This is my 7th chamois flannel and arrived in perfect time for the Alaskan vortex that is the desert in winter! Size M fits great and the traditional fit allows for layering without feeling bulky. Love the new plaid colors for this year. Am able to wear to the office and kicking back on the weekends. The double stitching at the seams lets me know I will never out wear this shirt! Every time I wear one of these shirts people comment on how soft they are, thanks for the attention Bean!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by dewarner Men's Chamois Shirt
I bought 2 of the Men's Chamois Shirts last year, and they fit perfectly. This year, they all seem to be "Traditional Fit", which is at least one full size larger than the stated size. Since I already wear a Small, there is no other size available to substitute. It is not good to make a change like this to an item that is so popular without providing other alternatives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by loghomelady Men's are Better
As a woman living in Northern California where it gets pretty cold in the winter, I want a thick, warm chamois shirt. The 9.5 oz version is still available elsewhere, but it is a rarity. This LLBean Men's Chamois is 7.5 oz, whereas the Women's Chamois is "lighter but still warm." Sorry, but the Men's just feels better. I bought the Turquoise Sea, because I seriously doubt it will be a male color favorite. It is a beautiful color but not available in the lighter weight women's version. Lucky for us women, we can wear the men's thicker, warmer versions, but most men won't buy the women's lighter weight style. If you want function over fashion, try this!

This is my first foray into L.L. Beans Chamois shirts. I own and wear a couple from another retailer, but the L.L. Bean shirt is head and shoulders above them. I love the roomy fit. It leaves room for a heavy undershirt like the River Drivers. I also shoot trap and skeet in the fall and winter, and this shirt gives me the room to move comfortably when on the shooting fields. Great job! Keep up the good work!

Contrary to some other reviews, I LOVE the fit of this shirt. I'm 6'2" and about 230lbs. I went with a size large, and it fits great. Great length and a generous cut. My problem is always having to wear an XL in shirts to get proper length in the arms and waist, but then they look like tents. I like a more athletic cut, and this fit the bill perfectly. I love how LL Bean sizes their clothing. I ordered the Apple Cinnamon color and it is awesome. My first chamois shirt from Bean and I'm sold for life. Great fit, great color, and surprisingly super soft and comfortable. Thanks for a great product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by loghomelady Apple Cinnamon In the Oven!
As with many other men and women, I love the new Apple Cinnamon plaid chamois shirt, which looks like a vintage Pendleton from the 1940's. The colors on the monitor are a little brighter than the shirt in person. Once washed they mute just a little bit. With the right tee beneath, you can brighten or soften the colors. You get in the Fall mood right away with this Apple Cinnamon plaid. I bought a medium regular and at 5' 6" it hits me mid-thigh. A tall would come to my knees.
The only reason I gave this shirt four stars is because I have older LLBean Chamois shirts that are far thicker (9 oz, 8.5 oz). They are nearly windproof, and even shed light rain. Frankly, I do not buy flannel or chamois shirts just for their color; I want a beefy shirt to keep me warm. And, I certainly don't buy the women's chamois shirts anymore, because they are even lighter than the men's version. I don't wear "cute" chamois shirts unless they are nice, thick and warm. At 7.5 oz this year's men's chamois shirts are barely just right; any less weight and then what is the point?
