Rated 2 out of 5 by dbelling Very poor zippers
I purchased one of these several years ago and it has performed well. No problems so far. I purchased a second one in a different color a year or so ago, but they must have cheapened the jacket because it is no longer of the same quality. A few months after I bought it the zipper on one of the pockets broke. There was no way that I could repair it so I sent it back for replacement. I have worn the replacement very little, but now one of the pocket zippers has broken on that one as well. I have purchased many LL Bean items in the past and I have never had this problem before. It is not as if I stuff the pockets. The only item that I had in the pocket that broke yesterday was a piece of kleenex. If this is how fragile the zippers are I am not sure that it is worth it to send it back for another replacement.

Love Bean windbloc fleece! Darn near perfect Wyoming coat. This is my fourth windbloc item.
Problem is, the zippers fail. Have had zipper problems on 3 out of 4 windbloc items.
But I've found a solution. Take a candle and run it up and down the zipper. This will stop the binding for a while.....then do it again.
This is a good interim solution until LLBean starts incorporating better zippers.

This is just a great jacket and is everything Bean says it is and more. I just wish Bean would offer it in other colors as well.

This fleece jacket is very warm for its weight, very comfortable to wear. It is by far the best light-weight jacket I own.

Another quality product from LL Bean. Does what I want - low profile warm wind protection (haven't tested the DWR properties).
I'm assigning 4 rather than 5*s only because - IMO - LL Bean's sizing is off lately ... and by 'off' I mean not consistent. I'm pretty much a typical 'Medium' in everything - but in this jacket - I had to exchange the Medium for a Small - which fits perfectly. I could have fit a puffy down vest under the Medium jacket. I think a lot of folks will want to order one size smaller than normal - which is what I did.
On the other hand - Bean's fitness fleece - which is described as a 'regular fit' - is the opposite - and was smaller than the ones I purchase a couple of yrs ago - and the medium is too tight around my 40" chest. I tried the large in the fitness fleece and the arms are too long - so had to return both.
But then some things are still a perfect Medium. For example - I just bought some layering Tees in a medium which are described as 'trim fit' and they fit perfectly - even after washing - minimal shrinkage.
So - what I'm saying is that it's hard to know lately what size to purchase from the Beanie boys. That said - always good quality from the Beansters and customer service - free shipping and returns are TOP NOTCH - which is why I keep coming back.

Wthis jacket fits well and feels good, the colors are radically different from what is advertised. The "coral" contrasting color is really bright orange and clashes with the blue of the jacket itself.

This was my favorite fleece until the stitching on the trim/edging started unraveling. I've had to sew this thing several times to keep it presentable. Otherwise it fits well, is comfortable, and is a good lightweight jacket in moderate temperatures and wind.
