Rated 5 out of 5 by TomsRiverGardener Comfortable and great length
This turtleneck is so soft against my skin, and the neck scrunches nicely. The fit is perfect, and the length is perfect for staying tucked in. I love the hemmed sleeves (rather than stitched on cuffs) so that I can wear it for casual or dress wear. It's worth paying the extra cost over the competitor's product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Buckynine Great fabric, runs small
I hunted around for a yellow turtleneck for quite awhile. Then was very happy to find one at my go-to shopping spot...LLBean. But although this is a beautiful color and lovely fabric, the fit is snug and overall runs small. The sleeves are short and shoulders are tight. A nice T-neck...just buy one size larger than you normally wear.

What can go wrong with ordering a white turtleneck? Plenty. The fabric is practically transparent. You can see a beige bra, the same color as my Celtic skin through it. THAT transparent. I have ordered Bean size XL in almost every top for years; this one is so tight around the arms that I have to work them around to get the seams where they belong. I wear it under pullover sweaters, but would never wear it any time that the body of the T-neck would show. I could have had half a dozen cotton t-necks from the discount store for what hubby paid for this one for Christmas. Very disappointing.

I have searched high and low for a turtleneck that fits just right at the neck. So many others either strangle you or the fabric is so loose it doesn't move with you when you turn your head. This one is the perfect weight and so soft.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LLBeanShopperDeluxe Shrinkage Makes It Too Short
I loved the feel of the material and the color. But, as other posters have mentioned, this turtleneck shrinks after just a wash or two, and mine is now too short in overall length and sleeve. LLBean's -- are you listening?? Many reviewers have same problem with this item. Please make these longer in arms and body, and preshrink them so they don't shrink after purchase. I can no longer wear this alone, I have to layer under a sweater so short sleeves don't show. I don't mind paying more for pima cotton, but this shrinks even more than a bargain brand would.

I was so shocked to get this shirt out of my laundry. I wore it once, washed it once (per the washing and drying instructions), and the length is over an inch shorter. I also bought a turtle neck in white. The white has been washed twice, and did not shrink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by nycfoodie soft & attractive
This turtleneck fits perfectly and is soft with a sharp black color (I hope it won't fade after multiple washings, but with 2 so far it's been good!). I ordered small for the first time (have lost some weight) and it fits close to the body, which I like. Nice-looking layered under a colorful cardigan and/or with a bright scarf!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Simpleelegance Great fitting turtle neck begging for a monogram
I ordered one, then three more. All monogrammed. The cotton is soft and luxurious, the monogram dresses it up, with a cardigan or by itself. I wear these with skirts, shorts, jeans, dress slacks. You can have the monogram which appears on the turtle neck peek out from a colorful scarf and you are good to go for anything. This is a staple for me for cold, cool and warm weather. Layered or not.
I am 5'6" and 124 and small fit me perfectly, on the nose of measurements.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ME2DC Shrank in length and length of arms
After a few months, this turtleneck shrunk in overall length and in the length of the arms, to the point where the arms fell above my wrists (and I'm only average height). But, the width didn't change, so a larger size would be too big. Fortunately, LL Bean's accepted my late return, which I appreciated.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Snailinaction Too short
Have to say I've been disappointed for awhile now with Bean's pullover tops, and this turtleneck is no exception. They are all too short in the body and are difficult to keep tucked in. Even if I don't want to tuck it in, the amount of overlap between the bottom of the shirt and the top of my pants is inadequate. I thought I'd give it one more shot and try one of these turtlenecks, but same problem, so I'm going to look elsewhere for pullover tops in the future. That said, the material is nice and comfortable, just wish the fit were. If you have a short torso, these may be fine. Any recommendation to a friend would be very conditional.
