This is a great tool because it is always handy. I have owned many Leatherman products over the years (original, Super Tool, Wave, Micro, etc.) and sometimes I found myself leaving the larger tools behind because of the additional weight on my belt. This tool is so light that you do not notice it. I have owned several Skeletools because they do break occasionally. Buying it at L.L. Bean means I can have it replaced by bringing the broken tool back. The plier is the weak point on this tool and any twisting of it can break it. I have also found that clipping it to a belt loop was fine until I lost one like that. I have purchased a new one recently to replace the one that I lost. I have also since purchased a belt mounted key ring holder that the Skeletool will clip to to keep it secure. One problem with the Skeletool is the two screwdriver bits. One of the bits is supposed to clip into the tool to be used and the second bit has a storage area. I lost that bit immediately. I purchased a two sided screwdriver (Phillips #2 head and Slotted #2 head) and I do not try carrying the additional bit as it will not stay in the storage slot.

This is a beautifully designed tool that fits in between the larger, heavier duty tools and some of the smaller tools in the Leatherman line. It is relatively light and easy to carry, yet has enough substance to accomplish many of the unexpected tasks that you might encounter. It has just the basic and most useful tools - I was recently doing some light home electrical and maintenance work and this tool was very handy to have! I think it looks nice as well.

I bought this because a friend had one and I was crazy with envy. The bottle opener is downright useful and handy and the carabeener clip means I can hang it on my belt loop. Both mean one less thing in my pocket.
I read someone's complaint about the screwdriver tips slipping out, but I find them to be quite snug and perhaps he/she didn't realize there is a lever to press which allows them to lock in place.
The knife is razor sharp and unlike a knockoff brand I had in the past, the pliers are really rugged. This is a serious piece of steel. Wish it had a couple more gadgets, but it covers the most basic and does it very well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JLCB Nice tool but screwdriver bits fall out
This is a great high quality tool, with one fatal flaw--the screwdriver bit is not secured well and falls out as soon as it is used.
