After a few wearings, I must return these pants, because the the sz 10 petite is so baggy. I love the feel of the fabric.and hope I can exchange for a sz 8.
It's puzzling, since the Bean jeans in a 12 petite fit me quite well. Makes me wonder if the size label was wrong.!

At last I have found pants that fit with no alterations! I am delighted with the fit, style, color and comfort of these corduroys, and I would order more if the colors I wanted were available in my size. My only quibble would be the light weight of the fabric, more suitable to spring and fall than the horrendous winter we are having. A pair of long-johns is absolutely essential in these subzero temperatures. I have had my previous Bean corduroys for ten years, and they are only worn out because I leaned against the sink washing dishes! The fabric is much sturdier than the current corduroys. If these are for winter, they should at least be flannel-lined like the jeans!

A little tight in the waist, but then I am a little bloated. The color is true and beautiful. Washed well and color remained the same. I really like the pants and received compliments. Some how I wonder if I shouldn't have ordered the regular, petite means petite. Still I really like these pants.

I am wearing a size 12 pretty regularly now, but I could barely button these pants. If I wanted to breathe the rest of the day I could not have worn these pants. I used to wear waistline pants ALL of the time, but have become accustomed to pants that sit just below the waist. These were way too constricting.

I have purchased Bayside corduroys several times over the years. This cut fits me better than any other pant of any kind. I don't find as much of a gap at the waist as with most pants. They are comfortable, warm, and a clean cut. The Bordeaux seems to fit a very slight bit closer than the Light Khaki but both are fine. If you want a bit more room, just give them a bit of stretch before or after going into the dryer. And they don't wrinkle if hung promptly -- I don't have to iron them to feel neat.

I am very disappointed with the fit of these pants and like other reviewers find them baggy through the hips and thighs. I had tried another style, which I returned, and thought these were better when I tried them in the store and bought two pair. And they stretch out even more when you wear them - hard to believe it's only 2% stretch material. I had them shortened so I can't return them. The variations in styles and sizes have become very confusing so I will not mail order any pants from LL Bean until I try them in the store first.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Snailspace Do not fit like they used to!
they have changed the fit from the old style, which was PERFECT, to too-tight waist with huge, baggy hips and thighs. I bought three colors. Wore them all, thinking maybe they'd shrink a bit. No such luck. Now I'm stuck with them. They look Sooo sloppy! And that waist is uncomfortable.

I had a very nice wardrobe of these wonderful cords in a size 8 but then relied on chocolate to get me through last winter's grey days and now I have to acquire a nice wardrobe of these wonderful cords in size 10. The original fit is very comfortable and looks great. I prefer the waistband to be on my waist as it is in these pants and like the fact that the legs are not baggy or too tight. They wash well (I use cold water and turn them inside out) and look like new right out of the dryer. They are warm and even provide some wind protection. If it gets too cold, I simply add long underwear. I bought the new color, hunter green, this year and like its subtlety and wish they came in a deeper more vibrant green as well. I hope LL Bean will increase the color choices--they make such great outfits!

I should have read the other reviews more carefully before I ordered. I'm a 6P and the waist was way too tight, the hips way too baggy. The material is great, the length perfect. Too bad about the fit. :(

Baside Cords - very confusing. I just received 2 pair of "Bayside Stretch Cords Plain Front" which I thought were an order of the same "Bayside Cords" I bought 2 years ago. They are not and the confusing thing is that the other "Bayside Cords" are also still available with a slightly dif't name "Stretch Bayside Cords Plain Front" (notice the word Stretch comes before the word Bayside). Further, when I attempt to leave this review for the pair I bought, it brings me to the review page of the pair I want. I have no idea where this review will end up so I'll try to explain. "Bayside Stretch" Item number TK229656 are above the waist fit (yuck) and very tapered leg (2 stars). The other "Stretch Bayside" item number TK258621 (4 stars) is just below the waist fit and more straight ( but slightly tapered) leg. I much prefer the "Stretch Bayside" and now that I get it, have ordered these and will return the "Bayside Stretch" ASAP. Also size is smaller in "Bayside Stretch" pair. I usually wear an 8 Petite and these were much too small in the waist.
