First one broke after 1 1/2 years, second one - one of the poles in the frame sheared in half. Great chair if it didn't break. Returned both.

Rated 5 out of 5 Great chair
Needed a low height seat camp and beach chair that would hold some weight and found this at LLBean, it is typical Bean quality and would highly recommend.

The Wilderness Recliner is extremely comfortable and durable, great at the beach as well as the camp. We have 3 of them.

Great for camping and outdoor concerts, lightweight, but very sturdy-arms are wood. Very comfortable.

My son bought this for me years ago. I use it for the beach exclusively. So easy. Folds up and stays up. I put my towel and beach pillow in seat, fold up, back straps are so easy to put on should and light weight. It also easily reclines, wide enough to be comfortable, a cup holder and a pocket below seat for phone, keys, whatever. I HIGHLY recommend this chair. Why pay $25 every year for a disposable beach chair, this one has 100% guarantee!

I did not care for this "recliner" chair. It is very low to the ground and is difficult to recline the back. Back of chair is not high enough to be comfortable. Mechanism to recline is very cumbersome and difficult to use. Returned this chair, very disappointed.

I have hunted all over for a chair that I can be comfortable in while at the beach, camping or outside the RV. My legs are short so I need something that doesn't cut me behind the knees.
We also canoe camp and it's not something I would take in a canoe because it's too rigid but for the rest of our outdoor activities it's the answer. Comfortable , quality construction and light enough. Shoulder straps make it easy to carry.
I don't have any trouble getting out of it. I do, however, have to fight the rest of the family for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ilovesummertime Very Comfortable!
I purchased these chairs to take to outdoor concerts. They are quite comfortable for the shortest family member (5'1") to the tallest (6'4"). We have used them for just hanging out around the campfire and sitting at the beach. Very versatile! The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that they are a little heavy to backpack for my daughter and I. However, every lighter-weight chair we have tried has not been very comfortable or sturdy. They do sit a little lower than most outdoor folding chairs, but still easy for older people to get up and down from them. They also recline easily with the slip of a strap.

We loved this chair so much my wife and I decided to get them for family gifts. They all loved them too. I am a big guy and it is comfortable for me. I even take it down to the lake for a relaxing "happy hour"

Rated 2 out of 5 by BeanLoyal4eva Not What I Had Hoped For in a Camping Chair
This is the first item I have ever been unhappy with in 35 years of doing business with LL Bean. I''m 52 and found this chair hard to get out of and hard to open. I took it to an RV campsite for 5 days and much of the coating scratched off of the bottom rails. I was with people in their 20s and 30s who also found the chair uncomfortable not because it is low, but because of the angles. The seat is sloped too much toward the back (regardless of how far or close the backrest is set). The wooden armrests are also too sloped. That said, if you are just sitting it is very comfortable. It is also seems a bit heavy to be called a wilderness chair.
