As a person who travels for a living, I put ski equipment on aircraft frequently. I have not been able to find a ski bag that will hold up to more than a few trips without ripping and damaging my skis until now. This case is bombproof and made in the USA! Even with just one pair of skis, they are secured very well. I can use the extra space to store gear when I don't travel with both my Alpine and Cross Country skis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Snowsports Sportube is durable
The Sportube was purchased for a ski trip out west. We wanted durable protection for our skis to survive the challenges of airline travel. The case is durable. The pull handle and rollers made it easy to haul through the airport. The product arrived within a few days of placing the order.

Since my family and I live in the Desert Southwest, we must travel to ski destinations...most often via air travel. I have owned a double sportube for 3 years and it provides excellent protection for our skis and bindings. With nearly $2000 worth of skis in our one sportube, we can travel with confidence, knowing that our investment is protected. Having just returned from a ski trip to Park City, UT we are excited to see that LL Bean now carries the Sportube as we need another for our growing children's skis.
The sportube has elastic bands that hold the ski bindings up so the skis can be velcroed in place. The tube slides down and is padded at the end to cushion your investment. There is a D-ring type clip that locks the tube to your desired length. The wheels make it easy to manuever through the airport. The only thing I recommend is the addition of stickers to the outside as these are becomming very popular, and like all black travel bags, easy to mix up.
