Easy to adjust. Seem sturdy and are easy to use. I just had a hip replacement and my doctor suggested getting hiking poles for walking every day as part of rehab. Work well for me.

I could not ask for any thing more. Lightweight, and durable. The height adjustment mechanism grips firmly and will not slip if you snug it up properly. I have used these for about 30 miles of backpacking and strongly recommend them.

These poles worked great for my wife on trip to Zion and Grand Canyon. Easy to adjust and very sturdy. Just barely fit diagonally in large LL Bean rolling duffle.

Rated 5 out of 5 Just right
I'm a recreational hiker and was looking for a hiking pole that wasn't too expensive but still stood up to the demands I made of it. I had a chance to test out the Hikelite poles in Pillsbury State Park. They were great: light, sturdy, and a comfortable fit for my hands. They are easily adjusted for height and have helpful markings to ensure you get the heights to match left-right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by formaggieo Great item, right price
I bought these because a friend had commented that once you hiked with poles you would never go back, and I was going on a three day trip. I am very glad I bought them - they are particularly helpful on steep downhills. We all used them crossing streams (the water was very high) - we passed the back and forth. They are light, strong, collapse to a good size for strapping to a pack when not in use. And the price was right.

I have tried these poles once on a short hike in preparation for longer hikes. They were easy to adjust, they did not slip, and they gave me much more confidence on a slippery trail, especially going downhill. Very pleased.

Although I have been hiking the mountains of North Carolina for the past 17 years, I have, until now, gotten by with a well worn hickory staff scavenged off the forest floor . In May, however, I will be participating in the 28.3 mile Ultimate Hike for Childrens Cancer Research and decided I needed to invest in some real hiking poles. I have used the Hikelite poles on two 10+ mile training hikes and have found them to be an excellent value for the money; sturdy and easy to adjust.

I have been using these on short hikes(2-5 miles) over steep, rocky trails and have no problems with these poles slipping out of adjustment.I weight 200 lbs and have put a great deal of pressure on these poles going up and down the trails, they have probably saved me from taking a couple of spills along the way.First year of using hiking poles and will continue to use these on trails.

I tried out the poles on a short hike, but I'm not sure I have them adjusted to the correct height. I wish they came with a DVD of instructions!

The hiking poles are light weight and nice to use except they do not stay locked in position and constantly need repositioning. I am going to return them.
