Rated 5 out of 5 by SleepyGiants Perfect bag for a kid
I bought one of these bags about two years ago for my older son and was so impressed with it that we just got another for my younger son. He's six and there's plenty of room for him to grow. We'll get many years use out of it. No complaints about warmth when we backpacked in mid-spring (overnight low 60 degree F), but my older son was chilly in the morning during an early spring outing (36 degrees F at wakeup time). The storage bag is a nice touch when not in use or being transported in the stuff sack.

Rated 5 out of 5 Great bag!
After scouring the kids sleeping bag market, I came to one conclusion: this IS the best bag on the market. At $90 it's pricier than most other 20 degree synthetic bags, but at just over 2lbs this bag is worth the extra cost based on the wear and tear it will save on my kids while they carry it. It also packs down small and fits perfectly into the packs that I just bought for my kids (the Deuter Junior). I have a 6 year old and a 5 year old who have both gone up to seven miles per day over varying terrain in Summers past. I'm gearing them up to carry their own sleeping bag and water this summer, and the features of this bag are perfect for doing so. I was thrilled when the bags arrived because they come with both one stuff sack, and one very large storage sack. The storage sack will inevitably add some years to the bags by not forcing the synthetic fibers to be compressed while being stored. This of course could also be achieved by hanging the bag, but I much prefer having the storage sack. The bag is well constructed, well insulated, and a welcome addition to our gear shed.

My daughter has used this bag for well over a year now for camping, scouting, and the all important sleepovers. It is an excellent well made warm bag, has stood up to multiple washings with no degradation in the insulation. We just purchased the Marmont Trestle bag for my son because it was slightly less expensive and I found that the LL Bean bag is much better quality. I should have spent the extra money on the LL Bean bag. The zipper tape on the bag is a great feature that prevents the zipper from catching the bag and getting stuck, the Marmont Trestle does not have that. My only concern now is what bag to get her when she outgrows this bag.

We like this bag in spite of the problems observed with foot end of the zipper on three different bags. We returned two bags unused over the past year. If they would fix this zipper problem this would be a great bag. We just tell the kids not to use the lower part of the zipper that opens at the foot end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by anymom great kids bag
I looked on line for a while for a small lightweight kids sleeping bag that would fit into the Osprey kids backpacks that we got them for Christmas. This is the best deal out there. The bags compress nicely and are snug and warm. I really like that there is 2" sturdy tape on either side of the zipper so that the bag material cant get caught in the zipper. I also like the baffles and cinching hood. The kids cant wait to go camping!

Rated 4 out of 5 by HikerOnABudget Good bag, runs small
This is a warm bag with a nice neck ruffle to keep cold drafts out. There is a neck cinch at the chest area, but none to pull the hood tight around the head. There is also no chest pocket for storing small items. The bag runs a little small - probably fits up to 4'9" comfortably. I have not tried it out in the cold, but it is comfortable and a great value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by vngang excellent quality
We order 2 of the kids sizes. Good quality material and well made. They were plenty warm (however is not anywhere near the 20 degree rating where we live). Bag fits in storage sack easily. Very happy with the purchase. The kids bags are nicer than mine!
If you have a tall-ish child it does pay to read the 'detail' and measure your child's height. I did not do this, it worked out ok, but my 7 yr old may not get many years out of this bag.
Given the contruction, the bag will have plenty of life left to pass it on.
Con: Only comes in one color, makes is harder for siblings to tell bags apart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Keola (ADULT) Adventure Sleeping Bag, 20°
I purchased the Adult Adventure Sleeping Bag, 20° and have used it on a recent trip to Dolly Sods Wilderness in West Virginia. The weather during this trip was very wet and rainy and the temperature probably dropped to the upper 40s, lower 50s at night. The bag kept me warm at night even though it got a little bit damp during the hike. Here's a more detailed review:
PROS:
-Even though the bag was a little damp, the synthetic fill still did it's job well and kept me warm throughout the night. The bag eventually dried out during the second day out.
-Very warm. I was wearing boxers and a thermal shirt when I was sleeping in this bag. I was considering removing my shirt because of how warm I got in the bag.
-Good design. The mummy design is great. There are ties so that you can secure the bag more snugly around your shoulders and there are two sets of zippers so that you can access your feet without having to remove your whole body from the bag. The hood has a tie so that you can expose only your nose and mouth if you want to.
CONS:
-The storage bag doesn't compress the sleeping bag down to a packable size. If you'll be hiking to your destination, I would highly recommend that you get a compression sack (not just a smaller stuff sack) so that you can get the bag down to a more manageable size.
SUMMARY:
Overall, this bag performed very well during my last trip out. It kept me toasty even though it got a little damp, and it dried quickly. I wish it came with a compression sack because when it's packed in the original sack, it will not fit in the sleeping bag compartment of a hiking backpack. The size is only a problem if you're hiking to and from your campsite. If you're going by vehicle, you don't need to worry. I just wish that I didn't have to make an additional (albeit inexpensive) purchase to accommodate backpacking needs.
