Rated 5 out of 5 by Keith50 Be careful about the tab!
I like this very much, but there is one thing to watch out for.
The tab (at the top, ending the zipper track) just came off, after almost exactly 3 months of use.
And with the tab coming off, the zipper slider comes off too.
I don't blame the product;
I normally carry about 10 pounds of material in the tote,
and had been using the tab as a convenient lifting point
when not using the handles (which are designed for the load).
Evidently that was too much for the stitching holding the tab to the body.
So: don't use the tab to lift the whole bag!
Again, other than that, the bag has been great.

I couldn't love this bag more!! It was perfect as a carry on. 2 flights to and 2 flights returning from Hawaii and it was great. Some highlights:
-It fits perfectly under the seat so I didn't have to get up each time I needed something out of it.
-The straps are just right so that its easy to carry with out being a burden. Also, the velcro strap for hooking onto rolling luggage is great.
-Tons of stuff fit: 2 quart sized baggies with gadget accessories and charging cables, wallet, ipad, 2 books, change of clothes, trip paperwork and documents, camera, cell phone, sunglasses, a couple bags of snacks, and travel pillow. (off the top of my head) with room to spare!
-The compartments on the outside are super handy for keeping ID and boarding pass as well as cell phone close. (The larger zippered pocket on the side with the key hook and the slots for cards was one that I utilized excessively. I used it as a wallet really, ID, money, bank card, and a bit of cash, easy to get to)
-Once we arrived at the destination I repurposed the bag for going out for the day. I couldn't have picked better. It went from carry on to a regular tote for spending the day in a rental car with necessary paperwork, sunscreen, maps, change of clothes, bathing suits, hats, etc.
-I hesitated on the color but wanted something other than plain black. I went with the deep purple and its a great, rich color.
-I thought it was at a good price too. Some I looked at were more expensive but didn't offer as much.
Go ahead, you won't be disappointed! I sure wasn't
-Oh, and when I ordered the purple was on backorder so I called before hand to make sure that the date listed on the site was a for sure date (due to my trip) and the very nice customer service person assured me that if I ordered the date shown online would be a ship to me date. It certainly was. Matter of fact I had the bag a few days before the date it was even supposed to ship.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Heshki Roomy, Well-Constructed, Attractive
This bag is roomy without being too bulky or heavy. It looks nice, not too rugged or "outdoorsy." It seems well-made and I expect it to last. I like the long handles, it's easy to sling over my shoulder. Nice zippers keep everything contained. I expect to get a lot of use out of this bag.

The bag looks great, and would probably suit a tall person very well, however I am five feet tall and, unless slung on a shoulder it drags on the ground!!

This is my go-to bag for air travel. I'm always surprised at how much this bag holds, and it is comfortable to carry.

This lightweight bag is sturdy and spacious - great to use as your personal item on an airplane. But I can see many other uses for it, including groceries. I waited to get the purple color and just love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tmca Perfect for Travel
Love this bag as it is perfect for what I needed to replace. It has velcro to hang over my carryon suitcase so there is no flopping. Inside there is a zip pocket for valuables, and the zipper is high so unless you are really searching for it it is not easy for anyone to reach in and get to it by accident. A zipper goes across the entire top of the bag also to further secure this bag. Outside pockets are useful for documents, front and side pockets are zippered along with one side open for a large water bottle or snack. I was able to keep my electronics in the front outside pocket along with my chargers, travel docs in the side zipper pocket along with my phone, and water bottle in the pouch on the opposite side without any difficulty through a long airport trip. I think this bag will serve me well

Rated 3 out of 5 by MichaelLB Smaller than advertised
I needed a bag at least 20" wide to accommodate a 19" backgammon board. Though advertised as 20" wide, it's in fact about 18-1/2" wide, so my game board does not fit. Otherwise it's a nice tote.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 4Canucks Perfect for what I need
This tote is WAY bigger than the picture makes it look. I'm not sure why the image is so small compared to the other totes, but anyway.... I needed a tote to bring along while carrying my 36lb 2-year old in a carrier on public transit to daycare! It's light-weight (I don't need ANY additional weight, thank you!). The zippers slide smoothly. The overall size is large enough for me to shlep along his snowsuit when winter comes, and yet soft enough to collapse nicely when I barely have anything in it. I also love the key clip attachment, so I don't have to dig around to find my keys. The tiny mesh drink holder is quite spacious for a kid's sippy cup. I think the only improvement I could ask for, would be for the bag to be water-resistant or waterproof, to keep the contents dry when it rains. Other than that, this bag is perfect.

by n9537q Before you make your decision...
I've used this bag for six months now. I use it for work (day trips as an airline pilot and commuting to work via airplane and train)
-the fabric is durable
-the bag holds a lot
-easily fits underseat in the plane
-no structure, which results in incredible lightness and great packability (as a second emergency bag to pack within a bigger bag and pull out and use when you buy souvenirs, etc) however this is also a con, see below.
-the straps are just too long. I am a very average 5'6", and the straps are too long to carry this bag from one's hand without the bottom literally dragging along the floor. The only alternative of course is to put the straps over my shoulder, but there is no padding at all on the thin straps and they quickly dig in and become uncomfortable.
-there is no dedicated shoulder strap besides the handles, and no D-rings on the bag to attach a padded shower strap that I could pilfer from another bag
-mesh drink pocket on the side is rather short and anything taller than a coke can tends to want to topple out
-the bag has no structure at all when unloaded or is lightly to moderately loaded. This means it will fall on its side and will not stand upright if set down.
There is more to this bag than meets the eye.... And the one million positive reviews. Be careful, it is not right for everyone. Especially if you are shorter than 5'6", or want to put anything it with a little weight and substance, I feel the long straps and lack strap padding are knockout criteria. ONLY used for clothes, I think it is ok. But start adding a book, an iPad, a drink bottle, an apple, your keys and sunglasses, and you may soon find as I did that the large internal capacity compared to the meager weight bearing ability of the thin straps makes for a pretty painful end result.
