A while ago I ordered two new pairs of these pants in the same size that I was then wearing. They arrived in the "new fitted" cut which I had to send back since they didn't fit the way the old ones did. I read some recent reviews which said that LL Bean had returned the original cut. They were right. My new pants came today and I love them. They are just as comfortable as my old pants. Not too many companies really listen to their customers so I'm glad that this one does!

"Originals back and good as predecessors.
Thank you for listening.
12 pairs later, I still wear #1 for chores and gardening.

Extremely disappointed in the new sizing. Purchased the size I previously purchased and they were like four sizes smaller. Sent both pairs back - the tan and the white (which I wanted for July 4th). What have you done to my favorite summer pants?

I really like these cotton canvas cropped pants, and wish you would bring them back. I also like the cotton canvas shorts and long pants. The fabric is more substantial and pockets and elastic waist nicer than the new version. If you insist of changing something, perhaps making the leg a bit more narrow would be fine. Otherwise, why change a great product? I also like the old colors and wish you would make them available again. Thank you.

These capris are made for flat-bellied, flat-butted women. If you, like me, have anything of a belly or a butt, the waistline will dip and be most uncomfortable. Otherwise, I like these garments. They seem well-made, the fabric is comfortable, and I like both the khaki and the coral. I was disappointed to have to return them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Tucson1865 Sunwashed Canvas Crop Misses XL Reg, French Blue
I just received the sunwashed canvas crop missus, XL reg, French Blue. They are baggy in the hips, sloppy looking and way too long for cropped pants. I have the cropped pants in chambray, olive and beige and love them. These will be going back. Maybe the XL stands for extra length and not extra large.

Rated 5 out of 5 by susie2 love these pants!
I originally bought the khaki and olive and love them so much I am buying the blue! They are so comfortable, wash well and are cool to wear. I am 5'8 and they are just right length wise. I highly recommend these if you are looking for something you can dress up or down and that is cool for summer wear. I bought an XL and they fit really nice even though I sometimes wear a 1X. They are not tight at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ShrewsburyMom Comfy, but too roomy
Normally I love being able to size down, but these are ridiculously large. glad I tried them on in store. I usually wear an XL, but I am wearing a large. They have been washed in warm water and tumbled damp, then hung to dry. No shrinkage. Very comfy. Ordering another color!

Rated 1 out of 5 by GardenFlowers Baggy
I first purchased a size medium petite in the cropped pants. Way too huge everywhere. Then I exchanged for a size small petite. Still too big at the waist, too long, and crotch is too long. And baggy. I like the fabric (ordered the olive color). I think the extra small would be too small, but I may be wrong about that. Normally I wear 8 - 10 and usually a size medium. These are strange pants, since the waist is elastic all the way around, plus a drawstring. The elastic should be much smaller in circumference, because then it would stretch to fit one's waist. Also, I washed and dried it in the dryer hoping it would shrink, it is still too big at the waist (and I don't have a tiny waist.) L.L. Bean should close these out and start over!
