Purchased these last winter to deal with shoveling and then for some summer hiking. They have performed well. Slow to show wear. Very comfortable.

We walk our dog in all sorts of weather and this shoe will keep your feet dry! I've tried many other 'waterproof' shoes and they don't keep my feet dry like Gortex does! You get what you pay for in this shoe. I usually wear a size 7-1/2 and ordered an 8 medium. It fits great with either a light or slightly heavier hiking sock. Lots of room in the toe box and the overall fit is good. A bit stiff at first, but after 3 or 4 walks, they have loosened right up and feel very comfortable. Perfect for the outdoors and any condition you might find yourself in!

I have purchased and worn ll bean hiking boots in the past. unfortunately they did not survive a shipment overseas so I had to buy a new pair. These were the only ones available in wide so I bought them.
these are killer hiking boots. after wearing them on many walks, my feet still hurt after about two miles. I am going to throw them away. do not buy them.

I read the other reviews about how well these fit right out of the box. Well, my experience was very different. I went on a 3 mile hike today to break them in---and I have blisters on both of my feet where my toes kept rubbing on the side of the boot. I bought an 11W---and they felt fine until I started walking a great distance. The boots also felt heavy and clunky to me...not what I was expecting at all. Maybe they will get better with more use.....otherwise I spent a lot of money for no reason!
I will say that they held up well in the mud and the water. My feet were definitely warm and dry --- maybe a little too warm!

I bought a pair of these back in 2008 for an archaeology field dig in Israel. I've worn them as motorcycle boots (as a passenger) and this year as snow boots. They're comfortable, my feet have stayed dry, and I can wear them all day without complaint. I would definitely recommend them to everyone! Well worth the money! And they last!

Rated 4 out of 5áby NorthernFan Nice Hiking Boots
These boots are quite comfortable and I think it is great that they come in the narrow size which is hard to find in boots. I would give them 5 stars if they came in size 10.5 N. I bought the 11N and they fit alright but I have to wear quite thick socks. I know size 10 N would be just a little too short. Why do you have every other half size except 10.5? It is important to get a perfect fit with hiking boots and women with larger feet need a good fit too!

Rated 5 out of 5áby Yooper62 Great all-around, outdoor boots
I wear these boots all the time from September through early June, unless I am in deep snow, and extremely cold temperatures. I use them as "everyday" shoes when I go out. They work great for taking the dogs for a walk, or short hike, and provide good traction. My feet stay dry even though I walk through puddles, slush, and snow. I read the other reviews, and purchased a half size up, since I generally wear these boots with Smart Wool socks. They were stiff for a few months, but now they feel perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5áby MrsBookkeeper great boots
These boots fit perfect right out of the box. I wear a 10N and narrow shoes and boots are sometimes hard to find so I was glad to see them offered in that width. They are very well made and keep my feet warm and dry.

I like the boot overall, but would have liked more padding in the insert of the boot...insert very thin.
