Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanBeliever Best Turtleneck Ever!
I've been wearing Bean's t-necks for several decades. They fit perfectly and look great dressed up or down. And I appreciate that the neck isn't tight and constricting. They array of colors matches Bean items I've had for years, and they resist pills and fading like no other t-necks I've every bought. Way to go, Bean!

Rated 2 out of 5 by KathME STILL miss the old ones
I'm with a few of the other reviewers. I have an old LLBean turtleneck from decades ago with the ELASTICIZED t-neck and sleeve cuffs STILL intact (the rest of the shirt less so) and I STILL love it. I have a couple of these newer turtlenecks and find that I simply don't wear them. They're not as soft and not as practical or well-designed. In fact, they're boring. The original I had, the neck part doesn't get folded, it's just straight, snug (but not tight), elasticized, ribbed cotton (neck and cuffs slightly ribbed, not the body/arms) that goes up the neck and flatters like crazy (NOT a mock neck! -- it goes up neck but not so tall you must fold). Having elasticized cuffs is great too. It looks good, feels good (for many of us, the rest of people can buy the other ones, but why are these other ones the ONLY ones you make now?!), and keeps out the drafts. I'd give my left something-or-other to get a whole pile of the old-school style. I'd wear them all winter. I'm personally tired of looking for the right turtleneck when it used to be made and still could be. Please bring them back, LLBean. I'll even show you my old one for a prototype. We've been asking and asking. It's time. I'll help you design it if you need me. Please just make it happen. You have a void in your options that hasn't been filled for years. The cuffs and neck of the style I request are different fabric from the body/arms of the shirt, but you have to sew them on separately anyway. So, I'm never buying this version again. I'm literally disappointed every time I try to put them on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pivo Way better than the more expensive Sig. turtleneck
I bought both the Interlock turtleneck in heather green and the much more expensive ($39) Signature Turtleneck. In my opinion, the Interlock turtleneck is of much better quality - the kind of quality I'm used to with LL Bean. It's thicker, but not too thick, I like to wear them under sweaters, and the neck stands up far better than the signature. By mid-day the signature turtleneck was droopy and sagging below my sweater. I'm back to purchase more Interlock turtlenecks. I know the signatures are supposed to be thinner and more fitted, but they just feel and wear like a cheap turtleneck, and especially considering the price difference. Go with the Interlock!

Rated 4 out of 5 by LLBeanShopperDeluxe Order a Size Larger for Length
This turtleneck's material is soft and thicker than the pima ones, and I like the added warmth. I needed to order a size larger than usual because both the overall body length and the sleeve length is too short in my regular size (and I am not tall), esp after washing/drying. My LLB turtlenecks from years ago are longer in sleeve and body than the ones in recent years. Add in shrinkage, and I am happy I bought a size larger. The downside is that it is boxy and wider than I'd like but at least it stays tucked in. Wish LLB would return to making turtlenecks that are longer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Movin2ME Shrinks a lot in the wash!
I washed this turtleneck before wearing it for the first time and the sleeves and hem are now too short to wear. I can't order a size up because it is already too wide for me. Other than fit, it is fine, but I will have to return the two I bought.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Silvershopper turtleneck for Winter weather
This is a thick cotton knit, on the big side, full-cut. I ordered a regular medium, washed & dried in the dryer to shrink it & it did a little. Probably should have ordered a small, but will keep this one. Ordered 2 other styles, both mediums, one in supima & one for $44 in a windowpane , black on white. They are both quite long but much more form fitting, & much thinner material. The supima is the best all around top. I am 5'3" & 136 lbs. Next time will go to my local LL Bean store in the mall.

Rated 3 out of 5 by TravelingGardener Bring back the Cotton Blend turtle neck
Please bring back a non pilling cotton polyester original fit turtleneck with a spandex neck that will stay up straight on a skinny neck. I have very old cotton polyester turtlenecks that have never pilled, so I know it is possible to manufacture them.I ordered two cotton polyester turtlenecks from you last year or 2 years ago,, but the necks were too large so they gap either worn straight up or rolled in the regular fashion. The gap is not attractive on an older neck. Spandex in the neck would make it possible to wear it straight up and scrunchy rather than in the traditional way. Cotton polyester is also a little lighter than plain cotton, making the scrunchy look work better in the neck. I have seen another company make these in rayon and polyester, but they are too thin and the neck is still too wide. Cotton polyester also dries more quickly both at home and while traveling and is so much more comfortable. Thank you!

Rated 4 out of 5 by TC08 Great turtlenecks
I buy the men's turtlenecks so that they are long enough in the body and arms. I wish LL Bean would offer more in tall and plus sizes!!!!!! You have great cloths and great colors but the plus size's are so limited. I would buy more from LL Bean if they offered more plus size items. Also you need to make your plus size cloths to fit loser some fit so small. I would love to see more in the plus size line, because I love your cloths.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LLBeanShopperTucson Good turtleneck but used to be better
I like the fit of this turtleneck and the quality of the workmanship. However, I would have liked more elastic cuffs as some of my older LLBean turtlenecks have. I have short arms and need the tighter cuffs to obtain a better fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Run6014 Great for layering or wearing alone
I purchased this turtleneck in solid white because I wanted a neutral color that could be worn under other clothing in winter (i.e., sweaters, fleece vests, flannel shirts). I got what I wanted--the turtleneck isn't too baggy or too tight and, as such, is perfect for layering. I like the material over the Pima Cotton version because it breathes better.
This turtleneck can also be worn alone.
Finally, I think the price is very competitive. I've purchased turtlenecks before but they don't seem to last (e.g., neckline stretches out). I'm willing to pay more for basics that last for years.
