I love these turtlenecks...they wear beautifully, wash well, and last looking like new for a long time

Well made and comfortable. Roomy fit though, so if you are looking for a fitted shirt, look for something different. They wash and dry very well. I have a variety of turtleneck shirts and seem to always wear these, that's why I buy all the colors. Recommend this garment without hesitation.

The latest batch of turtlenecks are not as long lasting as previous ones. My newest aqua one is already showing wear, including a hole on the upper seam. I've only had it for about 6 months.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Skysailor Stock these turtles in TALL
I've been wearing 4 turtles in assorted colors for a couple of years. The weight of the material is excellent, and the necks stand up forever... BUT, I can't keep them tucked into my pants because they are tooo short! (The sleeve length is okay, but my arms are on the short side.. and I could live with them being longer.) I'm 5'6" 127 lbs and wear a medium which aside from the length is generous and comfortable. Turtles are one of the most important components of my wardrobe as I'm in NE and I wear them almost non stop for 8 months of the year.
LLBean.. what is keeping you from adding TALL sizes? Reading the reviews, it would seem you have an eager following who would snap them up! Next year I'll try the mens' but I'll miss the womens' colors, and the necks will be big on my skinny neck.

Shudda listened. Other reviews said this top shrank. But it was the color I wanted so I bought it anyway.
I've washed it twice. It shrank each time. Now the arms are over two inches shorter and it barely falls below my waist.
This is not LL Bean quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by OnlineShoppaholic This is an awful turtleneck
I've been buying LL Bean turtlenecks for probably 30 years and I've never run across one I didn't like - until now. This one has an ill-fitting neck that never works right and the sleeves are way too short. I bought two of them and regret the purchase. Until LL Bean's quality control returns to what it used to be, I'd avoid their turtlenecks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kitty22 shrunk two sizes
Great on the first wearing, by the third it had shrunk two sizes in the dryer. Either change the garment or change the instructions. The sleeves and the neck are so uncomfortable I had to tug at them to get into them, and the bottom of the shirt won't stay put. Very disappointing.

I really like LL Beans turtlenecks. The colors are pretty and they are soft and fit well too.

just a HUGE thank you to LLBean for having turtle necks available in March...they are hard to find this time of year in specific colors and sizes, and my daughter suddenly needed one for the school play~in a ladies medium white. You wouldnt think that would be so hard to find but in the month of March, when everyone has their Spring stuff out, it is unless you will pay $50! So Thank You. LLBEAN, for having my back on this one!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hopeful89 I'm tall not "plus"
I notice that L.L. Bean provides "tall" options in men's clothing, but only "plus size" #"women's"# options for women. I love Bean's turtlenecks, but the sleeves are 4" too short, and the bodice will scarcely tuck in. Fifteen years ago at 5'9" I was extraordinarily tall for a woman, and could hardly expect mass producers to accommodate. But these days, 5'9" is pretty normal. Please, please, can we have clothes that fit?
