Rated 5 out of 5 by RJOS Outstanding Cotton Turtlenecks
I just received another Interlocking Cotton Turtleneck in Bright Plum Heather. The color is beautiful and the fit is perfect ( pet. med.)
I have several other I bought last year and could not be happier with the fit and style. If washed properly ( cold water, like colors and put in the dryer) they have MINIMAL shrinkage. They have been worn over and over again and always look great.
LL Bean - please don't change anything about them,

I have come to the conclusion that my shirt shrunk. The sleeves are now 20 inches long-and this on a regular sized shirt that should measure 301/2. I will return it. I liked the fabric and how it felt on. The shirt was too short when it arrived but wearable. At 5' tall my arms are not very long. I am returning it. I have a least 10 Bean turtlenecks in my drawer; when I compare, sizing is not consistent.
It would help if "falls at hip" were changed to give the actual length for the regular and the petite sizes.

Fantastic quality! Have worn them for years and they wash well and last a long time! However, I really miss navy and keep waiting for it to come back! I associate LLBean with navy...it is nautical, great all year, and classic so please bring it back!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by MichtoKy Nice shirt, but shrinkage is a problem
I have owned this shirt for a couple of months now, and while I like the fabric and weight of it, it shrinks a little more every time I wash it. I have been using cold water and a low setting on my dryer, so in theory this should not be happening. Unfortunately, I am now the owner of a 3/4 sleeve turtleneck, and the elastic cuffs and neck are getting a little too tight.
I recommend anyone getting this shirt to size up to accommodate for the shrinkage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by FellDriver Sleeves shrink too much.
I have several of these turtlenecks and they have all done the same thing when washed. The sleeves shrank 2 inches. Like the material and fit, but they shrink way too much.

I ordered T-necks from a couple of makers this fall and this one was the thickest/warmest. I read the reviews so ordered a size larger than my usual LLBean size. It does shrink, but that is not a deal breaker for me, although a longer length would be nice. I like the neck, cuffs and overall fit.

While I liked the idea that the neck was not tight on this turtleneck, it also doesn't have a neat turtleneck look, and bunches up under sweaters. It's comfortable, but doesn't look sharp. The overall fit works, but the sleeves are not particularly long and the cuff is loose on your arm. I like my cuff to show below the sleeve of my sweater, so I find I'm constantly pulling it down.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Shari2 Too short
I wish I could give these a good review because the fabric and colors are good. However, the length of these turtlenecks is way too short. The photo shows a garment that falls well below the waistline, but I found that the two that I bought were too short to stay tucked into my jeans which were waist-high rise. They fell just a bit below the waist and pulled out in the back. I ended up giving them away to charity because I was not comfortable wearing them.

I love LL Bean clothes, all of them, but....their colors seem to always be "off". This turtleneck called Mineral Red is in no way shape or form, red. It is more of a clay, tangerine or orange.

This particular turtleneck did not like being washed and dried. The sleeves shrunk up as did the length of the garment. It does not stay tucked in, and the sleeves, being shorter, are uncomfortable. Disappointed in this product. I usually love all my LL Bean purchases but this one was unsatisfactory.
