I bought this watch a few months back, and I have to say I was somewhat reluctant to spend $400 on a sport watch. I haven't regreted it since I put it on.....I've checked the time against my cell phone and it hasn't lost a minute. I'm an older guy and my eyesight isn't close to what it use to be...seeing the time on other of my watches has been a struggle,but with this one it's no problem. I see it both in daylight and especially in the dark. The numbers are easy to read, and the hands are equally as visable....the only thing that is hard to read is the date,but I'm retired so most of the time that's not a problem...this watch is well worth the money and with LL's return policy I feel good about recommending this cool watch...

I had wanted a Luminox for some time, but was wary based on terrible reviews of Luminox quality and/or service. So I paid more to buy it through L.L. Bean - and sure enough, my first watch had a bezel that stopped rotating. L.L. Bean replaced it immediately. I love the watch and I love knowing that L.L. Bean will back it up.

I am on my second LLB/Luminox watch...since 1998. I have worn them from Seoul to Rome and from the Grand Canyon to the New River Gorge. I never worry about them being visible or about delivering the correct time. They perform and wear very well. I hope to always own one (or two). My son is a Navy pilot...I gave him one upon completion of flight school...he's on his second one too!

This is a great watch! I bought it at the Freeport store about five years ago and it has been my go-to casual and summer watch since. The greats: LL Bean backing, overall looks (black with white numerals), night viewing gas on numerals, comfort of band (a bit of give, plenty of adjustment holes, long enough to drape nicely when buckled), durability of black finish over stainless, non-scratching mineral crystal. The drawbacks: The band is showing wear, both band keepers have broken and fallen off, the thickness of the watch will not allow it to fit under a buttoned cuff of a long-sleeved shirt, overall weight. Overall summary: Excellent. I am fairly hard on watches and the watch (itself) looks like new. I will send the watch in shortly to have the band and battery replaced and my Luminox will be as good (excellent) as new. Bravo LLB and Luminox! Not cheap, but a super value.

I LOVE THIS WATCH. It is everything I wanted. I was worried it might be too big but in fact. it is perfect for me. It is very easy to read in total darkness. Which was one of my reasons for choosing it. One note, mine came with the black polyurethane strap with buckle closure and a olive drab NATO style strap with buckle closure. Not the nylon webbing in camo with Velcro that is described. I like this better. Who wants a watch with a orange face and a camo strap, duh! My advise, buy it, you will not be disappointed. And lastly, who can beat the LLBean guaranty. It is a no brainer.

Very nice, well-made watch, but the pins that attach the band to the watch and buckle are very fragile. I gave it to my husband for Christmas. He wore the watch for two days and the buckle fell off the watch along with the pin that held the buckle. We can't afford to lose an expensive watch, so I returned it today.

I've always wanted a Luminox watch for its ruggedness and I finally bought this one while in the Freeport store. I'm not in any way disappointed. It's as rugged and durable as I could possibly want and it's clearly visible in low light situations. It's backed by the L.L.Bean guarantee and I suspect I'll never have to use that. Superb timepiece if you don't care about bells and whistles like alarms and what not.

This watch is great. Weight is just right and stands up to those really dusty days and hot weather. What I like most is being able to see the time at night without pushing any buttons. It's not cheap, "But you get with you pay for". Plus LL stands behind what they sell.

GasMan Very Nice Watch
This watch is now my favorite. I own way too many watches ! This is my first Luminox watch..I didn't like the weight of the all the Luminox watches I tried on with the "resin" case..They just felt too light giving the impression of a lower quality plastic watch..This stainless steel cased model has just the right feel, not like some discount watch , it has some weight to it!!!Absolutely an excellent quality watch..This model is available elsewhere without the L. L. Bean logo for a few dollars less..But be careful, most you find cheaper do not have the Luminox factory warranty or a company like L.L. Bean to back it if you did have a problem.
