I bought two waffle-weave rugs 2' 6" X 4' 2" and two 3' 6"x 5'. All 4 rugs are wheat. They are a golden color; definitely NOT what is shown on the website, and definitely NOT what I would have ordered. The backings on the two different sizes are different; the smaller ones do not need rug pads--they stay in place. The larger ones definitely need rug pads, which I did not order because other reviewers said that they returned their rugs pads as they did not need them. These rugs are not at all soft, as some reviewers stated. To make matters worse, they were packed & shipped individually in clear plastic bags, not boxes. So returning them would be a major project since the plastic bags can't be reused since they were cut open. So it looks like I'm stuck with $300.00 worth of rugs (and still have to buy rug pads for 2 of them) that I don't like; my only hope is that they wear out fast and that the reviewers are wrong about them lasting forever.

I have two of these runners -- one at each door -- to catch all the dirt my two crazy Border Collies drag in. They stand up to everything beautifully, and the dirt just vacuums right up. One even soaked up all the water that leaked through the ceiling from a burst pipe during our recent cold snap -- it saved my hardwood floors by taking the hit. It was soaking wet, so I put it outside. It froze solid in the 10-degree temperatures, but when it thawed out, I brought it right back in, and it's back in business.
I've had both rugs for about five years now, and came back to look for another, but they don't have the sage green color I liked. L.L. Bean, if you bring back the lighter green, I'm in for a third!

These waffle-weave rugs are the best thing in the world. The loops are dense, and they have the appearance of a quality rug. I have checked rugs at many other vendors, but LLBean nails it with these rugs. Who would've thought, where Bean is mostly known for their clothing.
I chose dark olive for the rug I ordered. Ladies, it is beautiful! I was worried that it might be drab, but it is not. It is not a solid color, but, rather, it has lighter flecks of cream/pale wheat weaved in, which gives it a wonderful depth. Very, very happy with my color selection.

Purchased this rug a few years ago to use in area near kitchen sink, even though spot cleaning or dry cleaning were recommended. A few fibers do snag a bit, but that seems to lessen with age and use. For quite some time, I spot cleaned areas from spills, etc. But then rug starting looking dingy, as those areas seemed to soil more quickly. I decided to throw the rug in my front load washer. It came out great! Do not put in dryer, as that can do damage to the rubber backing. Now I wash the rug when it looks soiled, hang to dry, and put back in place. I expect to get many more years of use from it. It's a heavy rug, so does stay in place.

This rug/runner is great! Much nicer in person. Our laundry/mud room needed some help in looking better, so I thought I would try the Waffle Weave Runner since the reviews were so good. I ordered it in wheat and voila! our mud room has been transformed into a nice looking entryway. A friend came to the side door, entered and immediately said "where did you get that rug?" He loved it. It is soft to step on, and the design looks rich and sculptural in the light. It adds a Zen feeling to the previously jumbled room. We liked it so much, I ordered a small one for the living room, in front of the door to the deck. Looks great there too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Albuqlass Used as bath mat and it has been great!
I purchased the small rug. It has a rubber backing, so it has worked perfectly as a bath mat. It's comfortable to step on and dries quickly. I've had it for 14 months and it is standing up beautifully! I really love this rug.

I bought the small runner version and am quite happy with it. It looks nice, is comfortable to walk on and the backing is sufficient to keep it from sliding around on my hardwood floors so I don't need a separate no-slip pad. It does smell a little funny after taking it out of the packaging but that should go away with time, I think. I like it so much I bought a bigger one for my bedroom floor to help combat the winter chill.

I need a durable runner carpet and like what LL Bean has to offer with this waffle weave rug. I am, however, disappointed in your limited color selections. How about some blue or forest greens?

Rated 4 out of 5 by chelgov Nice rug - wish they had more color choices
I needed a rug that was wide enough to cover almost double the space of our kitchen/outside door. This rug is the perfect size and I'm very happy with the quality. The waffle weave helps to trap the dirt before it's dragged into the house. My only wish was for more colors. We have a yellow kitchen with a tan/tan mix tile floor. I went with the Olive since it was dark and would be a contrast to the floor. I'm satisfied with the color but would rather of had a dark blue, (true) green, or red. I would recommend this rug to someone who is looking for something better than just the standard size rug.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MelnAly Great Rug
We just had new laminate floors put in our bedroom so we wanted nice rugs next to each side of the bed. The flooring is dark and this rug looks great with the color. The quality of the rug is much nicer than we expected; it is cushioned and the material is soft. Also, you do not need a rug pad. We put the rugs down and they don't move, even with our 55 lb dog jumping off the bed onto them. These rugs are excellent for the quality and price.
