This hat fits exactly per the sizing chart and has a great feel in hand and on your head. It is warm, comfortable, and handsome. It looks like a very nice but not too fancy cowboy hat, and goes well with casual clothing. We didn't see it on the web, just walking through the Freeport store. Bean should give this hat some prominence on the web. To my thinking, it was a great find!!

This is a great hat for all adventures ! packed it for trip to Andes in Chile, looked great out of the bag after 10000 miles of travel....I put a chin strap on it, and wider band....to customize... hat is perfect size, for hunting, riding, and since brim bends, I wear it for archery too.

I received my hat just in time for a winter camping trip. The crushable aspect of the hat got tested the first night when I inadvertantly left my boots on top of it for the night. When I put my boots on in the morning the hat returned to it's original shape with a quick shake. I also wore it on a 6 mile hike in a light rain and drizzle. The water beaded up and my head stayed dry. My wife and son call it a cowboy hat but I point out that it is an expedition hat. It does look a lot like a cowboy hat, but I'm not cowboy so therefore it isn't. "All dudes need lids." J.B.

I bought this hat for my father who lives in Jakarta, Indonesia. He loves it! It's rugged, handsome, and appears to be very durable. There's a reason why Stetson Hats are legendary. I think my dad will enjoy the hat for years to come. Thanks to LLBean for carrying Stetson Hats!

I recently purchased this hat at a larger size at the suggestion of one of the past reviewers of this product only to find out it was to large. I contacted LL Bean immediately over the phone and informed them of my problem. I was able to reorder the medium size I wear in every other hat I own and have it shipped out to me. It was easy to repackage the other hat in the box it arrived in and affix the return label and drop it off at a local UPS store for return at no cost. When the new hat arrived it fit prefectly and is one fine looking hat. It is everything the company promised and then some. The sweatband hugs my head w/ comfort and has enough elasticity to not feel constricting yet holds on in a good wind. The edges of the brim are reinforced yet the brim can be shaped anyway you like it. The color is perfect to go with anything you are wearing from casual to dressed up. I highly rate this hat and have only one suggestion. Order the size you usually wear in a hat by matching it to the sizing chart, and don't take the advice of one lone reviewer as I did.

This hat fits exactly like it should and looks great on my head. The color is also very rich looking although there are some of the darker fibers that are gathered in some areas of the hat which appear to be dark spots or stains and they aren't.

This hat is so much more than its reasonable price would lead you to believe. With its earthy texture and feathery band, it has a solid outdoor look and feel. The 3? brim gives the hat a woodsy rather than western appearance, and will look equally at home at Heathrow or the backwoods of Aroostook County. What can I say; I just love the utility and look of this classic Stetson!
This hat runs a little small, so consider ordering the next size up. The color in the catalog and on the web looks a little browner than the hat?s actual green color.
