I ordered this to put by my front door in order to have a place to sit to put on shoes. This bench has been used for everything from extra seating and a coffee table, to a table for my 2 year old to play with his play dough on and has held up without so much as a wobble. This bench is VERY durable. I love this bench and need about 10 more!

drednm Two Are Better Than One
I bought the first bench a year ago and used it as a small coffee table. Now with my purchase of a second bench, I can have a nice-sized coffee table (they match up perfectly) or can move them around as needed. I can even use them as benches!

I bought this bench to use as a small coffee table in my small den. It is the perfect size. It's strong and durable, the finish is great. Assembly was easy, I did it without assistance, and I'm no craftsman. They say 2 weeks on delivery, mine came is under 1 week. I have used this for 3-4 months and am still happy with it. I would highly recommend this item for its price and appearance.

Very nice item, easy to assemble with elbow grease, and perfect as entryway bench to store and tie shoes. Light oak stain matches close enough with other old and new oak pieces in the house and the look compliments rest of our Mission furniture. Pleased with fast shipping and sturdy product.

I bought 3 of the Mission (DARK) Two-Shelf End Tables in 2010, and liked them, decided to match them for an occasional coffee table that I'd keep out of the way.
This Mission (DARK) fireside bench just arrived with one side that matches both my three end tables from 2010 and the print/online catalogs, and a top, a shelf, and the other side that are noticeably lighter and less reddish.
I should have sent it back, but it was too much of an annoyance. LLBean needs better quality control with this Mission line, for other customers have similar complaints about stain not matching the catalog images.

I thought it might be too small for my large room but it is perfect! I didn't want anything too big....very easy to assemble and looks fantastic! Better than expected. I am a very picky person!

We are glad that the bench was made in the USA, but the finish on the top of it was uneven, rough in a few spots. In addition, it was not pre-drilled in one leg, so luckily I hauled out my drill to drill the hole for the screw.
Instructions were clear, and overall we are satisfied, but it is not as finished as some of the other mission furniture we purchased from LLB.

Item arrived one week after ordering. Very easy to assemble as I did it myself in less than 20 minutes. All the holes and screws fit as expected, arrived well packaged with no flaws, and looks great in the foyer. The darker stain blends right in with the rest of my furniture, and I'm tempted to purchase another bench (lighter stain) for placing at the end of my bed as well. I'm very pleased with this purchase!

I love the Mission fireside bench. It was a quick assembly, probably 10 minutes, and is sturdy with a beautiful finish. I ordered the darker stain and it goes well with my antique oak furniture. I'm using it now with a piece of glass on it to hold plants under a window. But it will go anywhere in the house. So perfect I may order another. A great piece, especially for the price!
