Bison leather has a unique texture and appearance that I really like. I purchased this belt about 3 months ago and am very satisfied. It goes great with khakis, jeans, golf shorts, etc.
It has always been recommended to me to order belts 2" larger than your waist size for a proper fit. I'm a 38" waist so I ordered a 40" belt and the fit was perfect. This sizing guideline may or may not work for others considering purchase of this item.

I love this belt. I have from the first time I wore it. Or them. My wife got me a matched pair several years ago for Christmas. They have worn well and, although they start out the day a little stiff, when brought up to body temp they are more pliable and conforming. Very comfortable. Solid enough for wear as a gun belt, too, for concealed carry. Only thing was, she bought them in a 36" size, just a little too long for my taste and it's bugged me for 3 or 4 years now. That little extra sticking out, catching my hand/wrist each time I reached into my pocket or put on a seatbelt, a minor annoyance. Looked into leather tailoring - more expensive than buying new, so I did. Bought two more belts 2" shorter. Will it matter? To me, yes, and I know from experience these belts will last a lifetime. Should've just exchanged them in the first place.

I absolutely love this belt ? I normally wear a 32/33 in most chinos and the 34 was perfect. Excellent quality, I'm planning to purchase another soon.

I purchased this for my husband and he is very pleased with this belt. It fits true to size and looks great with many of his casual pants. I know he will have this for years to come.

This is a beautiful belt and I love the handsome, supple bison leather. It's a narrower width than some of my other belts so it fit belt loops with ease.
I did have an issue with the belt wearing a significant mark in the leather at the notch I had originally worn the belt. Now that I'm a size smaller, the now revealed mark in the leather is more significant than with other leather belts.
That's certainly part of the deal with most belts, but something to keep in mind when purchasing.

It is a very handsome belt. But I must agree with several other reviewers that LL Bean's recommendation of ordering the same size as your waist is wrong. I wear a 32 inch pant, and I ordered a 32 in the belt, and it was too small, plain and simple. I reordered a 34 instead.

I love this belt. Great look. The Bison leather is really nice and the buckle really looks great against it.

I purchased this belt about 8 to 10 years ago, and have have worn it on average, four days per week. It still looks as good as the day I purchased it, and it even survived a basement flood (draped over a doorknob and the belt tip wicked-up water). The water stain faded away, and I still wear this with casual and dress chinos to my very professional office. Today I am ordering a new one, because my waist is a little larger than 8 years ago. Like LL recommends, order your waist size; but be honest with yourself! My old belt size is 30 inches, I moved up to 31 inch pants, and I moved to the second hole from the tip. This time I will order a size 32 belt, which should place me somewhere in the middle. This is a lovely belt, and you won't be disappointed.

As other reviewers have stated, the belt is cut too short for your regular waist size. Really disappointed in LL Bean on this item.
