First let me say my dog is a 110 lb long haired German Shepherd. . The large size fits him well with room to spare. I wouldn't choose the bed size using the weight only. be sure to look at the dimensions. I love this bed bc It is thick enough so when he lays down it doesn't sink to where he is on the floor like most beds. I do wish though the cover was water proof and stain resistant. It is hard to keep clean. For now I keep an old towel over it. I am going to also buy a liner for the mattress pad itself so nothing seeps through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dollbaby The BEST bed ever!
My little rescue is in heaven when she rests or sleeps due to the Therapeutic dog bed!
She was abused, after we adopted her we noticed she would yelp if we tried to pick her up She moaned a bit when resting or sleeping. Figured she was in some kind of pain.
Hubby suggested we get a good bed for her. Well, I went to work looking for the right kind of bed for our little girl.
The bed has done wonders for her. No more moaning and she doesn't want to leave the bed!! Noticed she is feeling better. Has to be because of the real sleep she's getting.
This bed has an egg shell interior offers comfort to the MAX! Its cover is easy to come off, wash & dry..........I struggle a little to get it back on. But that's the way it goes sometimes, isn't it?
The price is a little steep for us..........but I would buy this bed all over again because of the comfort it gives my fur baby!

This is my second review of these fantastic beds. My 16.5 year old, 60 pound dog has two of these so she can stay in different parts of the house. She is now so old that she started to have an issue where she would end up at the very edge of the bed, and understandably, the edge would collapse and then she would end up stuck half on and half off the bed. She has almost no strength left, so she could not get up.
But, I seem to have found the answer: build a rectangular frame to go around the outside of the bed that is an inch taller than the foam. This way, when she ends up at the edge of the bed, which happens often, her weight is unable to slide her off the edge. Instead, she ends up nicely contained on the bed. I will try to add a photo later.
These beds are simply the perfect combination of foams; more memory foam would not be better because there would not be enough support. Well done!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by YellowOrangeRed high quality, dogs like them
I got the size Large for each of my 50-lb Siberian huskies. Maybe they could have used the medium but they like to stretch out.
While the 4 inch thickness seems unnecessary from the dogs' perspective, it is unexpectedly very convenient for me -- because these beds are rigid enough that I can stand them up against the wall during the day.
I chose these beds partly because I could get the neutral plaid fleece covers for them. My dogs like this fabric and I like it because it doesn't rustle (unlike denim or cordura nylon).

Rated 4 out of 5 by CBontheEVO Comfortable Bed for an Old Friend
Bought this bed for my 10 year old golden retriever, Bryce. It replaces an old, cheaper bed and the differences are noticeable. The cover is sturdy, but seems comfortable and both the canvas and fleece sides vacuum easily (even with a Dyson that can shred lesser beds and area rugs). The foam is dense enough to hold it's shape even after 7 months, but is soft enough for my buddy's old hips. I'll be buying a second to place in another room. Only deducted one star for the price of the large bed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jkaands very difficult to get washed cover back on
It took several minutes and the combined efforts of me and my husband to get the washed and dried cover back on. The zipper is too short; it would be much better for the zipper to go down the long side of the bed. Even after getting it back on, the mattress bulged and fit poorly at the edges. It would be much better for the cover to be a little larger AND have the zipper go all the way down one long side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShellyT Better than expected!
I had been search of a replacement bed for our 10 year old Cocker Spaniel with bad knees for quite some time and finally decided to take a chance with this one. Like some reviewers have already mentioned, this bed comes rolled up tightly for shipping but it was ready to go within an hour of unrolling. At first I wondered if it would be too firm for our dog as she had been used to snuggling down in a pretty plush bed but I quickly found I had no worries. She immediately took to this bed and hasn't missed her old one at all. After several days of use I noticed she was running again and more easily climbing stairs and getting up from a lie down position. We had not changed anything except her bed! That was a bonus I had not expected! This dog bed is our new favorite.

Rated 3 out of 5 by EnglishSheepdog 1/2-1" egg crate memory foam and 4" regular foam
Got the bed and was disappointed to see the small amount of memory foam with bed....product description only says is on foam--I have a memory foam twin bed cover with more memory foam and for 1/4 the price, which I could have used. The cover appears to be of good quality and fabric, but the 2 are not worth $159 plus tax. Dog used it once, but since I don't speak Old English Sheepdog, I am guessing she preferred it to the floor. I love my dog, so I will not return, but if I need another, will look to retailer nearby as this bed is not LLBEAN produced, but comes from an outside vendor.

This product was true to its description and our 95 lb mastiff dane mix is in love. The product is high quality and very supportive for his size. I would definitely recommend this product to others.
