Rated 5 out of 5 by sgettoit Best Pima Cotton Shirt Ever-Correction/Update
I already reviewed this great shirt, but I must correct my error. I stated that this is Pima cotton, which I have been purchasing for many years. It is ALMOST like Pima cotton, soft with a nice hand, less sheen than the Pima. It is not Pima, but another very nice cotton.
Please LLB, make this style and fit (for me size L, R or P) in the Pima cotton as well as this cotton. I think that you will have customers for both, in various colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sgettoit Best Pima Cotton Shirt Ever--Modern Proportions
I just purchased this shirt in size L in black and in white. I am 5' tall and curvy, and wear a L or XL, Regular or Petite, depending upon the fit and drape of the garment. I have been wearing LLB Pima Cotton shirts for 20 years, and this one is great, and probably my favorite yet. The proportions are modern and up-to-date, more fitted than the old relaxed fit. At 60 years old, they fit me beautifully.
I will probably come back for more colors. Please continue to make this garment, and don't change a thing #except for adding more colors#.

I have ordered several of these shirts in the past few years. This spring I replaced two that were looking worn. The fit has changed! It is now longer (by 2" at least) and it has a slimmer cut. I liked the boxy shorter cut, why did you change!! Very disappointing!

I've been purchasing these shirts for several years and I still wear all my other ones in XL regular. I normally wear petite in shirts but always got these in regular- maybe because it wasn't offered in petite before.
I recently ordered the aqua sea ( beautiful color) in a regular xl in case it shrunk. I tried it on and noticed that the sleeves were much tighter and the body is cut more narrow but it was comfortable and looked nice enough. The length is longer but not so long that it was unattractive and I figured it would shrink up in length anyway.
I washed the shirt on cold and dried on low and it shrunk so much that I cannot wear it at all. It shrunk through the bodice making it and the sleeves too tight. I don't like my clothing to be skin tight.
I really wish that LL Bean would note on the product page when an item's sizing or fabric has changed because it's unfair to those of us who have depended on the same quality year after year. I don't have an LL Bean store in my area anymore and must pay for return shipping that I cannot afford and wait for exchanges that may or may not work. I've reached a point where shopping at LL Bean has become too risky and the shopping experience is not enjoyable.
I used to be able to shop online with 100 percent confidence that I could reorder an item without putting much thought into it and couldn't wait for the new arrivals. I spent a lot of money at LL Bean every month. Now, I spend countless hours reading reviews for days before making a risky purchase.
The care required for your simple cotton knit tops has become ridiculous- cold water and hang dry and iron out the wrinkles is too much. It's not an expensive silk shirt. These are basically Tshirts that one should be able to wash and dry without fretting over them and worrying if they accidentally get warm water washed and dried on medium by a family member.

I love these knit shirts but every time I try to buy one, you have no color selection in plus sizes. It's as though you only pretend to stock inventory.

This is a good, comfortable shirt. However, it's now about 2 inches longer than what I've ordered in the past and that doesn't work for me.

Well made shirt but did not like the color I chose...aquamarine heather...it almost seemed like there were flecks of yellow in the fabric...which gave it a greenish hue. The size was off also. Petite S was too large.

After reading the reviews that so many have said that these shirts shrink, I don't know what they are doing to make them do this. I have numerous shirts, 3/4 sleeve, short sleeved ,crew neck, v-neck, and long sleeved ones and not one of them has ever shrunk. They are the best t-shirts in the world. One drawback, I wished they carried a pretty red in the 3/4 sleeve year round.

Ordering up a size was not the answer I had hoped it would be. I was looking for a nice cotton shirt I could toss in the dryer, but even on a low setting the sleeves shrunk and the fit of the shirt was too big and boxy. I'm reordering in my regular size, will do cold water wash and line dry. I love the length and style of this shirt, and the pima cotton fabric. Would welcome some heathers/muted colors. Thanks LL Bean for the great return policy and offering a variety of 3/4 length sleeve shirts.

After reading a number of reviews, I decided to write one myself. I have been buying these shirts--both long and short sleeve--for several years. I live in Arizona, so I wear them year round. I have never had one shrink and love the feel of the fabric--However, I always do my laundry in cold water, so maybe that makes the difference. I would be happy if they were a little shorter, but I have a serger if they are too long!
