Rated 1 out of 5 by Uplandguy Bean has the best brush pants, not these
I am a hardcore upland bird hunter and have had a pair of the Precision Brush pants for a couple of years and love them. I just got two new pair a week ago as a birthday gift, one regular precision brush pants and the quality is as good as ever. I have brush pants that cost more but not nearly as good as the Bean pants. The second pair was the new Technical Brush pants, and these are just terrible. Strange fit like sketchy skninny jeans. No signature stretch waistband, and the rear pockets are cheap sewn on patch pockets with Velcro. If the designer simply added the technical features to the standard brush pants they would be the very best on the market. I sent them back and ordered another pair of the Technical brush pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DAbbs Nice Kit - if it fits
Three disctinct types of materials on this piece. Top part is a breathable stretch canvas, Brush material on the front is nice and rugged, great waterproof material, and the leg cuff has a thicker extra protection which makes the bottoms a little heavier, its barely noticeable.
The extra shell holders on both sides is a nice touch. Pleated knees are nice, depending on the inseam, they can hit a little low on the knee (if they were up 2" higher).
Waist seems to run a bit small, like almost a full size (33 seemed like a 32). Which means I have 7 months to get these to fit.
Inseam seems a bit long, which isn't a bad thing but worth noting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Craigar Technical Upland Pants Meet Expectations
I've worn my Technical Upland Pants only twice, but already know that they meet expectations. They are very comfortable, they protected me from the burrs and briars that I encountered in the Field, the size was true to form, and they look downright cool. although I haven't worn them for a full season or two, I am sure that they will hold up with the best of them. Well done LL Bean! I am looking forward to slipping them on again when I head back out to chase upland game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MJK914 Good idea, but short of the mark
I bought these thinking they would be the perfect upland pants. However, I don't care for them and will be returning them - thank you, LLBean customer service. The property of the material which makes them stretchy also makes them stick, rather than slide over your underclothes. The material also doesn't breathe well. I find them uncomfortable to wear.

Purchased these pants for early season Wingshooting and they have not let me down. Really they can be used all season with a base layer in colder times. I real think they are well made and the kevlar around the bottom is a real plus.

Rated 3 out of 5 by frenchbrittany brush pants that attract burrs
These pants are light, breathable and the fit is excellent. They are great for early season hunting in dry conditions. This is the most comfortable pair of brush pants I own. I have two pairs of heavier pants, one with gore tex for cold/rainy/snowy weather. I bought these pants for times when regular brush pants would be overkill. In that capacity they work wonderfully. The downside is that while grouse and woodcock hunting in Michigan, these pants pick up 50-100 burrs each time I wear them. Some of the burrs even adhere to the front of the pants where the cordura type fabric is located. After half a dozen hunts, these pants are beginning to show wear and loose threads on the stretch fabric portions of the pants. When wading through briars, I can feel thorns penetrating the fronts of the pants, although they are worlds better than jeans. All in all a mediocre grouse hunting pant. I leave them in the garage and don't even bother cleaning burrs off of them anymore. I can't wait for colder weather when I can wear my heavy duty hunting pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JEB1980 Great quality, a little tight in the waist
I'm a 34x34 typically (sometimes 33 waist) and I found these to be a little tight. The 34 waist fit more like a 32.5. I had to send them back for a 36 waist. I would suggest ordering a size up to avoid paying shipping charges back to LL Bean. I was also concerned about the length since my inseam is a 34 but these were long enough.
I gave 4 stars based on the fact that I had to pay return shipping. I live in NM and there are no brick and mortar stores nearby. Seems like if I'm spending this much on a pair of pants that free return shipping should be included. That seems to be the norm nowadays.
The quality is great and I anticipate these lasting many a dove/quail/pheasant seasons. Happy hunting!

Rated 5 out of 5 by catsywi Thanks to other reviewers
These were a gift for our son and after reading other reviews we ordered one size larger for the waist and one size shorter for the length and they were perfect. His regular waist size would have been way too tight - especially if he wanted to tuck in a shirt.

Great pair of pants well made. Had to return the first pair because of sizing but this replacement is great.

Surprised much nicer than expected! Comfy, perfect fit. Would prefer tan or green to dark briwn.
