Enjoy a full day each of kayaking and biking along the picturesque coast in Freeport, Maine. On your kayaking day, our accomplished instructors who are also Registered Maine Guides will explain kayak design, paddling terminology and boat fit. Then join our expert instructors as you paddle in stable, two-person sea kayaks along the rocky island coastline of Casco Bay. Your biking day will take you through the rolling hills and farmland of Freeport and Brunswick, with stops to take in the beautiful ocean scenery. During your one-night stay, you'll enjoy our oceanfront campground that comes equipped with large tents, cots, sleeping bags, hot showers and many other amenities. A lobster or steak dinner will be served that night at the oceanfront pavilion, followed by dessert and a campfire. Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning.
Itinerary
Arrive at 9 a.m. to meet your instructors and settle into the campsite. Afterwards you will embark on a biking adventure for the day. Following a day of shuttle-supported cycling on Freeport's scenic roads, you'll return to the campground at approximately 4 p.m. to unwind, followed by dinner, dessert, campfire and overnight tent stay. Breakfast is served in the morning, then either the kayaking or biking program will begin. The adventures will conclude by 4 p.m.
