Rated 4 out of 5�by bmwtn Too Big for some hands Buying a good pair of saltwater pliers for fly fishing seems to be more difficult than it should be and ideally should be done in person. I previously returned a pair from another supplier because they were so heavy they would break a toe if dropped on your foot and I just returned the Pescador 7.5 Pliers because they are uncomfortably big for my hands. I am also concerned that the jaw tip is quit broad and may be difficult to use to remove smaller hooks from fish. I thought about getting the 6 inch size but ultimately decided to try an off brand with a different jaw tip design. They do appear to be well made (China) and should last, but if you have small to medium sized hands, the 7.5 is probably too big to use comfortably. April 22, 2011

I love the fact that the tips area small enough to crush down barbs, yet powerful enough to clamp down and remove a deep hook with ease. The cutters work really well, and the built in hook hone is a great thing to have on hand. July 29, 2010

Rated 5 out of 5�by captpermit Ross Pescador Pliers! WOW! These Pliers are great! I used my size 6 pliers on my last trip to the Bahamas and they worked so well I had to get a Pescador 7 to boot! I was making Barracuda and Shark leaders cutting wire with them and then making bonefish leaders with small diameter mono tippit for my fly leaders and the cutters worked great the whole time. I would recomend these pliers to any serious angler for sure! June 4, 2009

Cool design, replaceable parts, lightweight. hook sharpener comes in handy. Cuts 2lb - 200lb mono and wire. Pliers come with a convenient holster and self coiling lanyard. I would highly recommend these pliers to any one who loves to fish. Makes an excellent gift. April 28, 2008
