Rated 4 out of 5 by Riley123 Comfy & simpler than inflatable bed
I decided to try a cot instead of an inflatable bed as I didn't want to deal with the battery maintenance, etc. I tried the basic cot that was in the store but didn't like the sagging effect & lack of cushioning. This one has better support and the wooden slats have a slight arc going upward that gives it some spring. It's wider than my couch and long enough as I'm 5'11 . For storing, I currently have it upright in my closet. Initially I was going to squeeze it under my bed but that would compress the arc in the wooden slats. I would have given it a 5 star but I haven't actually slept in it yet.

I slept on this cot 12 consecutive nights while I had a visitor. To get more cushioning, I inserted my 1-1/2" thick, padded exercise mat between the wooden slats and the mattress. Worked great. I slept as well on this cot as I do in my expensive bed. Since I read many reviews before my purchase, I was a little apprehensive about the slats, but I had no problem with them. I weigh 138 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Omapriscilla Far Better Than Expected
The folding camp cot with the covered mattress was surprisingly comfortable, and with the stable wooden slats, far sturdier than I had expected. Single fitted sheets outfit it. Plus it folds away very neatly into my closet until needed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Erieside Wood slats bend easily with one hand
I bought two of these for Christmas for my son. As soon as he opened one and we saw how easy it was to flex the wood slats we decided it probably wouldn't last through one night without breaking so he sent them back the next day. The pad felt like it would be very comfortable but those wood slats didn't seem like a very good idea.

I was surprised at the poor quality of the cot.One of the wooden slots cracked, the first time it was used. I would not recommend this cot to anyone but LLBean did replace the cot for me, once I notified them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ThelmaDee Amazing comfort for the price!
The wood slats and egg crate topper will keep visiting family comfortable. Not to mention the fleece sleeping bags LLBean sells that I will provide instead of bulking bedding.
Easy to move about and open.
Just discovered today how little room it takes to store these in their folded up state.

Rated 1 out of 5 by OpieGoneBad Great idea but....
My first night was supremely comfortable - that's until I woke and sat up in the morning. The slats cannot support much weight if concentrated in one spot, which is exactly what occurs when you sit upright.
Great idea, if it worked. I'm sending it back. :(

Rated 3 out of 5 by MrW1286 Very Comfortable -- If you are under 200 pounds
This was a very comfortable cot, and I was delighted when I first lay down. However, it broke the first time I rolled over. I would recommend that the weight limit on this cot should be dropped by about 50 pounds.

We have two of these cots, one bought about five years ago, which has wider wooden slats. The older cot is very comfortable and we are quite pleased with it. The newer cot is comfortable only for those who weigh less than about 200 pounds, as otherwise the slats tend to pop out and break. L. L. Bean replaced the newer cot and we use it only for family members that weigh less than 200 pounds.
