The waterhog mat is just as it is described in the catalog. Does a great job cleaning boots, collecting water, and looking good in our newly remodelled cabin. I highly recommend this mat, and there is no better company to deal with than llbean. I had ordered this mat in dark brown, found after we received it that we didn't like the color in that particular room. LlBean customer service graciously guided us through the return process, paid for postage, and sent the mat we wanted in the new color that we requested. The lighter color works well in our room, and we are 100% satisfied, which is exactly what this outstanding company guarantees. We have dealt with llbean for many years and have always been pleased with their products and customer service.

I have owned this rug for about two years now. This rug is 3 feet wide by 46" in length. I cannot find these measurements on this rug so maybe that size was discontinued. I was so happy with it , until lately, now it is slipping around on my hardwood floor. I use this rug at the entryway. It no longer stays in place. I also own other waterhog rugs in the leaf pattern and they are holding up nicely. I'm guessing that since it gets more use than the other ones, it has lost it's adhering ability.I am very dissapointed in this rug as the price was quite high.

When we refinished our hardwood floors two years ago, we put waterhog mats at all of our home's entryways, and they've greatly reduced the amount of dirt and water we, our dogs, and visitors track in. So far, none of them have shown any signs of wear or caused any damage to the floors they're protecting, like the discoloration and gummy residue created by some rubber-backed rugs.

I have this in front of a sliding door in our basement. I have it on carpet (so this may damage the fibers in the carpet (I don't know) but it sure saves the carpet from dirty paws of 2 big dogs! Its attractive too and serves its purpose. Very pleased.

This is my third Waterhog mat purchase. Absolutely love these mats - so durable and nice looking. I have cats, and even they can't destroy it!

I ordered the Warthog 6'x5' rug in brown. It's not winter here yet in MN (thankfully), so I don't know how well it holds the water and dirt yet. I do want to comment though that the rug looks great and the size and color are true. I read a lot of the other reviews before buying this and people talked about how it looked like the rug was patched together or the color didn't look right. I didn't have either of those problems. It does however have a smell to it because of the rubber bottom, so I'm hoping that goes away.

I ordered a 6'x5' mat, I got a 5'10''x5' mat. Two inches isn't much, but I really could use it. Also, as others have noted, there is a line going down the mat where it was stitched together, but it can only be seen when looking very, very closely. Despite all this, I like the mat and would order it again.

We bought this mat six months ago for our back door entryway in tan, 6?x5?, in preparation for our new Brittany pup and for our daughter and her friends to come into the house with their wet, snowy boots & bibs and also summer time water play. We haven?t had an abundance of water on the mat to test the ridged border, but it has definitely helped to keep our hardwood floor clean during everyday life. The mat isn?t very attractive, but it is fairly easy to vacuum clean, and it stays in place. It is a bit flawed, however, which is disappointing, especially considering the price: at about a foot from one side, the mat appears to have been pieced together and the squares were not lined up properly, so a 1?x6? area of the design is off from the rest of the mat. It isn?t terribly obvious, but it is noticeable. We kept the mat because we needed it immediately. It would be nice if the perfect-size mat was available in another design and more colors. We bought the khaki outdoor mat, leaf design, and it?s very nice.

We had to fill a large entry way with 2 doors on right angle walls. The "perfect-size" mat is indeed a perfect fit (6X5') and the color is just what I thought it would be. We got the tan to blend w/the wood floors and walls. It grabbed all the dirt from our recent move with several people coming and going all day. I feared it might look plain compared to the smaller ones with more designs, but it is very nice looking as well as super functional. We'll probably get one for the back door as well.

looks great in my mudroom, might not be perfectly square but it could be my old house. I agree with others that you can see where a strip was added on but you really have to look to notice it. It hasn't been through any rough traffic yet but I imagine it will hold up well. Vacuums easily. I like it.
