This towel is a great size for sitting on the beach or wrapping up when your wet and cold. It's like having the perfect sized blanket! We love it and it washes very nicely.

The beach towels were big, luxury towels. I ordered 4 and had names put on them. They had wonderful color and designs on them. I am sure they will be used for years to come. Only negative was that I ordered 4 and it took several weeks to get them. They came one at a time. Soooo, order early.

My kids love these. Typical LLBean quality, great colors, thick and soft. At ages 4 and 6 these towels are a bit huge but I look forward to them getting sleepy on the beach and able to cuddle up on these, maybe even napping in the warmth of the sun!

These beach towels look great on-line but I'm afraid there is something wrong with the way they are made. I ordered three of the designs: the buoys, the seashells and the plain navy with green stripe. When I received the towels, I washed them before using them (on cold), let them air dry for awhile and then finished drying them on delicate. The two towels with navy fields both loss areas of color so there are now pink-ish red splotches throughout. The towels also are pilled all over and one of the three has an area where the knit has started to come undone - all from just one trip through the washing machine!
I have been a longtime LLBean customer and fan. I've even order beach towels in the past and not had these problems. I am very disappointed in the poor quality, and I am hopeful that they will find a new vendor and/or fix the dye and construction issues.
I have not yet contacted the company to ask about returning these (I just got them this week), but I have every confidence that LLBean will refund my money. It's just unfortunate that this happened because I really like the designs on the towels and it's a real hassle to have to return things.

My grandson loves his beach towel . I had it monogramed so it wouldn't get lost. It is big and snuggly, soft and perfect for the beach--or just snuggling at home. Great colors and his name is large and looks great on the towel. Good quality and will last. Worth the money,

I was very dissappointed with these towels.I ordered two, the sand dollar and the sunshine. The sand dollar had a major flaw and was unraveling when it arrived. The sunshine was a little bit better, but some of the loops were much bigger then others and some much smaller giving it an uneven appearance. Not what I would call a high quality towel. I exchanged the unraveling sand dollar towel for another one. This one also came with flaws galore uneven loops and weird lines in the towel that is not part of the design, just larger and smaller spaces between the rows of loops. I am very diappointed. I have some older beach towels from LL Bean that are amazing. The standards on the new towels have slipped greatly.

This towel is so perfect, watch out a friend or family member might steal it from you! I first bought one of these a few years ago and loved it. After a day at the beach with family, it disappeared. I found out my sister had it but she insisted it was hers and said my nephew loved it and taken it from her! We all get along very well so I wasn't that concerned about it and I thought it was funny that my nephew had claimed it (he still has it and it still looks to be in good shape).
After buying a few inferior, less expensive, beach towels from other places in the past couple years, I'm happy to have come back to this towel. I am throwing out/donating all my other beach towels. This towel is so soft, comfy and BIG, it is perfect for the beach or for lounging on at a picnic or poolside. I'm 5'5" and the towel is just big enough that I can lay on it without my head or feet touching the sand. I also love the big bold graphic design and the overall quality is very good. We haven't used the new towels yet but I am looking forward to hitting the beach with these as soon as the weather warms up and we plan to take them with us on our vacation this summer.

Thick and plush, very absorbent, beautiful woven print shows
from both sides of the towel. Really, really nice. Bought three, had them all embroidered with names. No question whose towel it is when kids go to camp. Good gift for that person that has everything, adult or teen.
