All cotton, so comfortable right away. Designed for hiking
(with side cargo pockets on the legs), they also work for casual everyday use since the pockets aren't obtrusive. Comfortable, well fitting, and also appear to be well-made. I have several pair of the shorts, so I tried these and I'm glad I did. Ideal for warm, humid conditions.

Pants are ok. Can wear without ironing. Don't really like the "Buffet Waist". It makes you look too frumpy. Would like them better if they were no-iron.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ArtSeattle Very nice and comfortable pants
Well made with a medium-weight fabric. I might also try the lighter weight for warm summer wear, but these are good universal pants. Very enjoyable design with useful pockets. Elastic "comfort fit" is nice but is functionally of little use.
Biggest disappointment was how they are about 1 inch short as you wear them - even though the inseam is indeed what I asked for (32 in.). The problem comes from a 1 inch shorter than normal crotch length. Not unbearable but definitely affects my wear-ability expectations - therefore a 4, verses a 5 rating.

Love the pants! Good fit. So comfy. Great for all outdoor activities. I like them so much, I got a 2nd pair.

They're LLBean so very nice fittings. All pockets are perfectly put together and all the closures work. Sized just as numbered. Very comfortable fabric. Feel like they're already broken in. Just bought a second pair.Love these!

Rated 2 out of 5 by SixString The inseam is much shorter than advertised.
I ordered two of this pant in 32 length. The actual inseam was 29.5 on both of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 Great knock around pants
I recently retired and after 40 years of dress pants have designated the Pathfinder pants as my "uniform" of the future . They are soft and comfortable but still rugged.

These pants fit very nicely and look sharp. My husband loves the soft, untreated cotton (somewhat hard to find). The heavier weight cotton is naturally wrinkle resistant minus the chemicals. The "hidden elastic" on the waist side panels is truly hidden. The length seems a bit short, but we can live with that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Robbierae too short
Tried these pants twice - 32 in length - first was a full inch shorter than same length jeans we received. Sent them back and 2nd pair was 1/2 in too short. Not sure what LL Bean's deal is, but they went back too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Northwest62 rougher look and feel in size 40
These pants fit my husband, but for waist size 40, versus the 38 that he tried first, the fabric and feel of the pants is different. In size 38, the pants were attractive enough to wear around town, even to the bank. In the size 40 waist, the fabric is rougher and doesn't have the elegant suede feel and look of the size 38. Thus, these are yard pants, expensive ones. At least the cargo pockets don't have flaps.
