Rated 5 out of 5 by Beausie The Perfect Polo
I recently purchased the Double L Polo in solid white. I wanted the classic summer look with no frills. I had read reviews complaining about sizing. I ordered my usual size Large. The fit is perfect. The 100% cotton fabric is so smooth and soft if feels like a polyester blend. I will be ordering another very soon.

I had previously purchased Polo shirts from that other company. The One's from LL Bean are far superior, The fit is ideal, No wrinkles out of the dryer, great to travel with, as they hold up well no fading/shrinkage/wrinkles. after a almost a year now. Highly recommend these, you can't go wrong these Shirts.

The sleeves aren't tight enough and are too long. The fabric isn't similar to the traditional and original Izod polo shirts which have a waffle type appearance and are sort of stiff. This fabric is softer and more clingy feeling. I suspect it won't be nearly as cool in the summer. I have 15" inch biceps and the band of the sleeve of a size large is baggy. The sleeves are also too long and only about two inches from my elbow. Maybe I should try the trim fit. I am no spring chicken at 54, but this shirt appears to have been designed for out-of-shape geezers. Look elsewhere if you want the atheltic fit and feel of an old school polo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by travellllller Wish the arm cuff didn't look stretched out
I bought the XXL Tall in black. The color has not faded after many washing- which is great. There has been no pilling at all. The shirt did shrink a bit in the width and in the length- but the arms didn't really seem to shrink so they seem really big. The cuff on the short sleeve is huge. It seems to just hang there- it gives the appearance of being very stretched out. (I found that it was the same on the XL too.) Normally I find that the cuff on the arms of short sleeved polo shirts run a big snug, especially if you have any type of muscles built up on your arms- but this shirt just seems to be a bit too big in the arms. I had hoped that this would a great shirt to buy for the summer- but I will be seeking another brand to fill the closet with because it just isn't a flattering fit on me.

This is a very nice quality shirt. Fits well. The collar lies flat. Easy care. I've purchased a couple and probably going to get a few more.

I just took this shirt out of the dryer and it looks terrific even though I caught it before the cool down; no touch up necessary. My husband has had several for over a year, says they are very comfortable and I love the way they look. We would definitely recommend this shirt.

It's just OK. After reading the reviews here, I went with a small even though I'd normally order medium. Reviews were right, these shirts are larger than the normal small/med/large sizes.
These are definitely for those who prefer to tuck in their polo shirts as they're about 4 inches to long to wear untucked, the back hangs over most of your butt.
They're made will though, just not a crowd pleaser when it comes to sizing and mini-skirt functionality ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by charlesf18 so soft
I've bought many polo shirts through my 45+ years, and I have to say this is the softest and most comfortable shirt I've ever owned. Other than the size runs slightly bigger than I'm used to, this shirt is perfect. Going to buy other colors.

Love that this shirt often comes in stripes ~ even in the tall sizes. Striped polo shirts are difficult to find in talls. Great shirt. Washes & wears well. Maintains color. Like the longer tail in back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by gaveuponanickname Great polo; sized larger than other LLBean polos
I normally wear a Medium, and this is true for the vast majority of men's shirts at LLBean, but this polo in Medium felt more like a smock than a polo. It was way too large; I couldn't even fake it really. Other than not being sized similarly to most other men's shirts, it's a great polo. Assuming you correctly compensate for the size, it's probably a 4-5 star item instead.
