i am on a budget and live in an area with a short summer so i often buy $10.00 polo style shirts. decided to splurge with this one, and the difference is impressive. just wanted to share. one downside, i won't buy the cheap ones again.or is that an upside?

As other people have noted about these shirts, they come out of the dryer looking new, don't need ironing as long as you fold them properly before they cool. And they feel great. The only problem I've found is a big one: the colors rub away on the Navy Blue after only a few wearings or washings. Wherever there is a hem, particularly around the buttons, the color is worn away. I haven't noticed this on any of the other colors, but the Navy is my favorite! I hope L.L. Bean's manufacturer looks into a more stable blue dye.

I have 5 of these in a LT. Two of them (Yellow and Green) are significantly longer than the others. Might be good for a basketball player, but at 6' 3" they look stupid and block access to my rear pockets.

While the quality of the shirt is fine, the XL tall shirt is not truly TALL. The tail is plenty long, but the short sleeves are 3/4 to 1 inch shorter than those of similar shirts I've purchased from Cabelas and Cutter&Buck. I'm disappointed.

Have not tried on the shirt yet, but the color is totally wrong. We ordered Deep Mint and the shirt is St. Patrick's Day Kelly Green.

by MamaRowe Very Disappointed
This shirt is soft and lovely and it does come out of the dryer looking like new. However, I bought it in mid-May and it already has a hole in the corner where the pocket is sewn onto the chest. My husband is a truck driver and wears a polo every day. It usually takes a year or two for the seatbelt to wear a hole in this spot but, with this shirt, it took exactly 3.5 months. No bang for your buck here.

I've worn LL Bean polos for years but it seems I never know what I'm going to get any more. This shirt was okay, but it doesn't seem as heavy a fabric as other premium polos I have. Also, I was looking for a red shirt, this one more orange than red. I don't like pima or pique so selection is limited. Would also like premium mesh long sleeve with a pocket, but seems like somebody thinks I don't need one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SkipperCoot Best Polos Ever!
These polos are spot-on in every respect: they look and feel brand-new even after repeated washings. They're cut generously, with plenty to tuck in (I'm a 6-footer but I don't even need the Tall size), The pique material is soft, and makes these shirts comfortable and great-looking. I've had 3 different colors, and even after 3 years, the colors are as bright as they were when I first put them on! Five-stars all around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by daveack Great Shirt
The fabric is soft, the collar is fine, the overall fit is good and the price was great. I normally wear a Large and ordered three in that size, but they when they arrived they were much bigger than a normal Large. I returned them and ordered the same colors in Medium which fit fine. I'm very happy with these shirts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MamaRowe Awesome Product
My husband wears glasses and requires a pocket in every shirt. When I compare this polo with a similar competitor's polo this is superior. The pocket is deeper and the fabric softer. Enjoy!
