The concept is good, but this product is much too light to move my 90-pound canoe across rough ground. The hard rubber tires are too small and incapable of absorbing bumps on uneven terrain. I had to replace them with much larger inflatable tires, which required building a larger axle and enlarging the axle holes in the frame. It took some serious modifications to turn this product into something that I could use.

this is my second purchase of an llbean kayak cart...great price and a very effective transport method for moving your kayak to the water...we have a very light swift kayak and a heavy plastic beast that we let anyone use...a loon...so a wheelie cart is a must to make it a one person event!!...the cart is light, folds up easily, and rolls over anything reasonable..go for it...we wheel our kayaks down the lane, over grass, onto sand and rocks and into the water of lake george.

I think it should be noted that this cart does not work for the Big Yak kayak.

Great cart and very easy to use. It fits my Tarpon 100 and allows me to move it by myself. Good purchase for the money.

...is all that needs to be said. For those who rely on consumer reviews (myself included), very easy to rig (I've hauled three different model ocean kayaks by myself - just adjust straps accordingly, no fuss), rolls well through sand and mud. Straps rinse clean and hardware is good quality. I was skeptical because so inexpensive - don't be, this is it.

I'm not sure that I like this product. I've tried it once and I was less than impressed. The set-up did not go as planned and the boat kept slipping off the cart. But what really concerns me are the gashes it left on the sides of my whitewater kayak. When I noticed them, I thought that maybe I had hit some rocks pretty hard. But then I saw the same gashes in the same spots on both sides of the boat. Yikes! Also, the cart did not pack away in an 8-inch storage hatch. I don't know, maybe it's not designed for whitewater kayaks.

Wow. This takes bout 30 sec to put on, very secure & low center of gravity means it doesn't want to tip over when portaging rough terrain. Then pop a wheel off & it goes along for the ride in the aft compartment. In back-country, I don't know how I managed w/o this... well, I do; it was gut-busting but not anymore. Carts double the price don't do the job so well. I love this thing!

This cart certainly makes it easy to get my kayak to a pond about 1 1/2 blocks from my home! It's easy to handle and rolls easily thru a few rocky/sandy spots. We received it as a gift; it truly makes the journey to the pond an easy one for my young son and me. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this product.

This cart came exactly as advertised. I have a 17.5 ft sea kayak and this cart handles it just fine. Easy to attach and it slides right into my large storage hatch with the wheels on! Great price, great construction. And I know Vermont isn't far away from Maine, but free shipping and it arrived the next day! Wow!
