These are the only traps I use. From togue on Moosehead to pike in the Belgrades, this trap can do it all. If you buy the best, you only need to buy once!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Critsports Jack Trap a thing of beauty
One by one I have been replacing my old ice fishing tip ups with Jack Traps. They are wonderful. I was first attracted to the fit and finish of the wood and the craftsmanship. They are so beautiful I almost want to display one. But the real beauty is they are high quality and functional. They work perfectly, never freeze up or bind up and unlike older rigs I have used in the past I am never looking to tighten and replace wing nuts or things that become lose. Its rare in a product to have it be a work or art both in form and function but that's what Jack Traps are all about. You pay a premium price but boy are they worth it!!!

Anyone that give gives this trap ANYTHING BUT A 5 STAR RATING is crazy. Best traps on the market. No wind flags EVER. easy set up. Surperb construction. Just takes a little knowledge on stringing them. But not rocket science.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by BIGJIM777 Jack Trap tip ups
I recently purchased six standard jack trap tip ups from LL Bean and must say that they are outstandding. I own several other types of tip ups and the Jack Trap are in a class of their own, they are extremly well built. Take care of them and they will last several life times to hand down to your children and grand children. I have become a LL Bean customer recently and I am very satisfied with their quality and service. Their shipping method is the best of online sport equiptment I have seen. Good job Jack Trap and LL Bean.

Rated 2 out of 5 by RFPhill Looks great, well built, but poor design
This tip-up looks nice, and it's very solidly built, but the design just isn't great. The hole isn't covered, so it freezes up and makes getting the tip-up out a hassle. The tip up is also very long even when folded, and doesn't fit nicely into an ice fishing bucket. The spool is large and winds line up quickly, but it's easy for the line to come off the spool and get wrapped around the metal shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 Maine craftmanship
without a doubt, best trap on market today. Holing the Allagash in northern Maine, I never experienced a freeze up or chased a wind flag during a 5 day stay in challanging conditions. Top quality throughout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lilsarah great Traps
I love these traps. I have used others and got a lot of flags but know fish. This kind of trap dose not go off when the wind blows. It is also great quality and looks really nice.
