If you need to keep a lot of stuff close-by as you travel, this is the right accessory for the job! I just used this bag for the first time in a trip across country with my husband. He's diabetic and needs to have snacks along for a trip of this length. Right on top of the bag is a zippered food pouch that drops a few inches into the center of the bag.
Then, I loved the outside, side, zippered pockets I used for tickets, cellphone, passport, sunglasses.... they're really easy to access from security/airport busy-ness.
Now, the inside spaces are spectacular... from the side iPad slot to the net wall pockets, to washable, roomy interior spaces... The only problem I had was trying to remember where I'd put everything!
If there's any fault at all (and, clearly, i don't think so, with my overall rating...), it's that there are too many places to look for what you put in there!
Oh, and the strap is adjustable and padded, too.... whew!

I purchased this as a carry-on for a recent trip. I like to have lots of secure places to pack things and this has tons of zippered pockets. It also has a neat pocket in the top that's great for snacks and even a water bottle. While I do wish it was a big larger, I was able to pack 3 large fleece sweaters along with a wool sweater in it and had room for extra stuff along the sides. The price for this at first seemed higher. but when I compared local and other on-line offerings, the price was right in line and the quality and size were superior. I know and trust LL Bean's qualtiy and have never been disappointed, and am not again with this purchase. If you need a good, sturdy carry-on shoulder bag, this is for you!

This bag holds a great deal and has numerous compartments both inside and outside to hold a variety of items. It fits very well under the seat in an airplane, so no need to put it in the overhead. The deep pocket right on top for snacks is easily accessible and holds quite a lot. I was able to carry in it everything I would have had in a purse as well as whatever I needed for a long plane flight or train ride. The Quickload Carry-on Bag will be my travel companion from now on.

I haven't actually used this item yet, but it appears to be very sturdy and somewhat roomy. I plan to use it this summer on a trip I have to take via an airplane. I think this will work as a carry on to replace my purse and I will be able to put a change of clothes in it.

I ordered this bag to accompany my rolling carry on. My current rolling carry on is in the same set and color. However, when it arrived, I realized the bag was MUCH too small. It would not even hold my 13" lap top! The construction and appearance is wonderful and typical of LLBean. It has many pockets--however they are small pockets and really didn't work for what I needed. I was really sorry I had to return it.

I was looking for a small bag with lots of organization to take extra things to work. I saw this and decided to give it a try. I love it! It has a lot of compartments. It would be a great carry on if you were flying somewhere. I would definitely reccommend this bag!!!

I bought this bag as a set with 2 other pieces of luggage, for my daughter. My husband and I just recently won a trip to Mexico, so I asked my daughter if I could borrow her bag. I LOVE THIS BAG and now want one for myself! It was small enough to fit under the seat on the plane, but big enough to hold the things we needed to carry on our side excursions. Lots of pockets to hold camera, batteries, sunscreen, etc. Then we were also able to fold up a t-shirt and put in one of the side pockets, and also put in a fleece jacket! And the bonus is the compartment on top that is a cooler for a water bottle and snacks! Definitely recommended by me!

I use this bag for short (less than 3 days) trips. This thing holds everything including my laptop and it stays with me on the plane... a definite plus! I've been able to use bag to combine a purse with other totes. Glad I bought it.
