Rated 5 out of 5 by jenijosmom Well worth the money!
I've been wearing leather soled scuffs of another brand for 15 years and the soles literally show no sign of wear, but the shearling liner is finally wearing thin. Since these have held up so well, I knew I wanted something with leather soles and shearling liner as a replacement and was having a difficult time finding it.
I had buyer's remorse shortly after ordering these moccasins at such a hefty price tag, but the minute I slipped them on, I knew that it was money well spent! Other slippers with synthetic liners tend to smell awful and have to be pitched long before they wear out. I know that will not be the case with these beauties that are well constructed of quality materials. I truly anticipate wearing them for the next 20 years or more.
I typically wear a 7 1/2, sometimes an 8, and I like my shoes to feel snug on my feet. I ordered a 7 based on several others saying they run large, and I'm glad I did. They are just right, plenty of room in length and quite snug in width, but not uncomfortably so. I'm certain they will stretch out and conform to my feet as others have described.
Thanks for an awesome product LLBean!

Rated 5 out of 5 Haven't worn out yet!
I bought a pair of these moccasins in the Outlet Store for $20 back in the early 80's. The sole looks almost brand new. I have waterproofed them several times, and wear them out and about, not just around the house (that means on concrete sidewalks and to the store).
I have had the stiching repaired only one time on the top left side.
I think they will last another 10 years until the stiching totally comes apart.
Best value for the money I ever spent.
P.S. I live in Florida now and still have a L.L. Bean down parka from the 80's too. I wore that in Maine for about 8 years before I moved here. Now I only wear it once or twice a year when I come up North to visit.

My feet did not feel stable in these slippers when walking on uncarpeted floor so returning. Blue color nice and leather excellent quality. Sizing is correct so you can order your shoe size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ctorda2013 Good quality, but way too small
While I'm sure I would love these slippers, I couldn't even get them on my feet. I own a different pair of slippers from L.L.Bean in a different fabric that are a size 9. I normally wear somewhere between sizes 9-10, but many of the reviews mentioned the slippers stretch, I thought the size would be fine. The slippers I got looked very small to begin with and were far more narrow than I would have originally thought when ordering. My mom even tried them on and they didn't fit her, but she wears a size 7! Don't know if I got a mislabeled pair or if the slippers are actually a size 9, but I won't be reordering either way. I don't live close to a store and I don't want to pay the return fee multiple times just to remain unhappy with the same product. They did look very nice though.

I wear a size 7M. I've been wearing deer and moose leather soled moc's for 50 years and know they eventually will stretch. I've never owned Bison leather so I ordered a size 7 to see. They fit as a size 7 would........but over time, I knew they'd end up becoming loose and sloppy......so I returned them for a size 6. A 6.5 would have been perfect, but wearing them will eventually stretch them out and They'll be just fine.
Well constructed, good quality leather and the hide is thicker leather than moose and deer hide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DrSal comfy and tough
After reading other reviews, and figuring I would most comonly wear these without socks, I ordered 1 size down from my regular size. Specifically, I normally wear an 8 in street shoes and boots, usually with thick socks, bought these in size 7. To start with, they were never uncomfortably tight. They do stretch and conform to your feet. Although I don't do it a whole lot, they are fine with socks, and I'll admit I am a thick sock person. The wool lining retains some loft even after many hundreds of hours of wear, and the wool's wick with warmth ability makes them great for after getting out of the shower. Even late at night, outside with the dogs when the temps have dipped into the 30s and I've been too lazy to put on socks before going out, feet stayed comfortable. The one thing that really surprised me, was that they are actually fine walking in a rocky and rough gravel driveway. I will miss them outside once the snow starts to fly as there is no tread since a smooth leather sole. I don't know if adding a treaded sole would allow the body of the slipper to stretch and conform to a foot as wonderfully as these have. A suggested project for LLBean footwear engineers!

The raisin-color bison slipper is fabulous, and an excellent-quality
moc for the price. They remind me of the moccasins I wore in the summer as a young girl. I am a pretty firm 7B, and the 7 is a great fit. My foot is turning them into a custom fit after a couple of hours.
If they loosen up too much, I'll be happy to wear them with wool
socks this winter. Well worth waiting for these!

These slippers are beautifully made and comfortable. However after wearing these for approximately six weeks the padding in the heels is compacting so much so that I am pronating terribly causing knee pain. It would be nice if there was a removable insole so I could at least add one with some support. I love wearing them but I can feel my feet leaning inward each time I wear them They need to put a better quality padding that is more resilient and can resist becoming compacted in such a short amount of time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HighPowerSugar Super warm, wish they came in half sizes
These slippers are absolutely beautiful, the leather is gorgeous and the shearling is so very warm. (I'm a tiny and cold person, so I don't give the term "warm" out loosely) But they appear to be of very good quality. My only issue is that I am a 6 1/2, and these only come in whole sizes. I ordered a 7, but they are just a tiny bit too big and I'm afraid that the part where the slipper rubs against my heel will wear off over time. But I can't be positive yet. I'm 100% positive that a 6 would be too small. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase and only gave a four star because of the lack of half sizes.
