Rated 5 out of 5áby 3rdGenFan Perfect!
This is exactly what I was looking for but couldn't find anywhere but LL Bean: a gorgeous, quality, full coverage traditional bedspread. Everything about it is perfect, and the color (bay leaf) is much nicer in person than it seems in the photos. I am so happy! Worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5áby EnjoyOutdoorsLLBean Great Bedspread
Love, love, love this bedspread! I have had one in teal for over 10 years. It has been washed numerous times but has held up very well. I have enjoyed using it as a cover during the winter with a light blanket on top and without the blanket when it is warmer. The material is soft and cozy. I decided to order another in teal while it was on sale and also got the pillow shams which I failed to do the first time around. I was very surprised to see that the original spread had not faded at all when I compared it to the new one. I have a very deep queen mattress, and the queen size covers the bed well, I am very pleased with this purchase.

I have never written a product review before, but feel compelled to do this one.
I am absolutely thrilled with my recent Vintage Matelasse Bedspread purchase. I bought the Soft Teal.
I love everything about it! I love the color. I love the pattern. I love the simplicity. I love the feel of the fabric. I love the weight of the fabric. I love the quality. Did I miss anything?
I am amazed how one simple change can transform a room so completely. Now I can't wait to paint the walls (and for me that is saying a lot).

Rated 5 out of 5áby Diena Orange color is beautiful
I have watched this spread for weeks and was afraid to order it because the orange looked too bright and garish in the picture. I have two of these bedspreads already (white and light blue) and they are absolutely beautiful!! So when the orange went on sale I took a chance and am so glad I did! It is a wonderful dusty orange - almost pumpkin - and matches my room/rug perfectly! Although I haven't washed this one yet, the other 2 washed beautifully with no shrinkage noted.

We have rather thick mattress and box spring and the bedspread covers both very well. I washed the bedspreads and ran them through the dryer and they were smooth and able to be put on the bed without any ironing. The weight is perfect not too light but substantial enough to be used through all seasons.

Rated 2 out of 5áby XL1200C Bedspread or Tarpaulin?
I've given this product (full size, Atlantic Blue) a rating of two stars because of LL Bean's superlative customer service and because a considerable effort obviously went into the manufacture of this product. But insofar as suitability of this product for use as a bedspread, I can only wonder how my perceptions so far differ from others who so highly rated this product.
The color is true to the photo on LL Bean's website. Its width is ample, perhaps too ample for a platform bed without a separate box springs. But the material is thick and coarse--more reminiscent of a tarpaulin than a bedspread. This condition did not improve following a gentle washing and tumble dry. The seersucker texture seemed more befitting a cheap sport coat than a premium bedspread and was incongruous with the fabric. The absence of quality control was evident: plainly visible in the center of the reverse side were several loose threads that had not been properly stitched. But for the fact that I made the defect worse by picking at it, I would have returned the product for a refund.
Had I a garage, the bedspread might have found a new home as a floor covering while I worked on the underside of my car. In the absence of a garage, the bedspread is soon to meet its future home in an area landfill.

Rated 5 out of 5áby DedicatedLLBeanFan Just what I'd been looking for
We have an extra deep mattress. Had yet to find a bedspread or comfortor that was wide enough to allow for coverage. This is perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5áby 1Iowan Nice bedspread
The bedspread covered the guest queen bed well on all sides. The pattern is very nice and the weight is nice. I needed a neutral and the light khaki (true to color) worked fine but was a little flat looking. I spruced up the look of it all with colorful pillows and room accents. I also ordered a king spread for our bed. It was short all around as we have a high rise set. Would have needed to use a bed skirt and didn't want that look. Too bad cuz the green was beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Perky Just what we needed!
The Vintage Malelasse Bedspread was just what we needed to replace an LL Bean bedspread we had been using for 22 years!
Color as shown online a good representation. Nice mellow green. Good medium weight. Great coverage for our California King mattress that is turned sideways to covert antique beds into one bed.

áby LOLO2702 Generous Proportions
Purchased October 2014.
SEASONS: I've now used this bedspread for over 1 year.
Best seasons for use as a BLANKET: Winter, Spring & Fall
SIZE AND FIT: Generous sizing (I ordered KING 116 x 120).
The TOP of my mattress is 27" from floor to the top. Spread fully covers mattress, box spring, and metal bed frame. For your situation, if no one sees one side of the bed, you can pull the spread lower on the side that people see.
Or, rotate the length from 120" to the length of 116", thereby using the 120" length as your sides for the additional 4".
I chose to no longer use a bed skirt because the spread covers sufficiently and because I just don't care about bed skirts anymore.
WRINKLES: When I remove the spread from the bed and lazily plop it wadded up on the chair for several days, the fabric has been forgiving regarding wrinkles. Oh, yes! You will have wrinkles when you leave it wadded up for several days. However, the wrinkles seem to disappear when remaking the bed and giving a little tug on the spread.
Please note that in the picture that I attached:
1. I pulled back the top of the spread where a person might want to place bed pillows and then fold the spread over the pillows. You can see that there is a generous length to go over the pillows.
2. I didn't try to perfectly pull the spread on the bed for the picture. You can do this when you take and submit your picture. ;)
