This is a replacement. I looked for it far & wide on line. The matelasse spread kisses the floor of a queen-size Murphy-style bed & covers the pillows. Very true to measurement. 'Teal?'- well- slightly on the slate blue side; very little green, but not blaring BLUE or GREEN as some are that I have shopped. Also it is geometric- NOT floral in pattern. Yes. I would have bought this first! I have NOT washed it yet, but from the way it is constructed, it will be OK even if it shrinks a little. It has straight edges, rather than scalloped on the bottom & sides (along with the top) & would have been easy to hem if it had been too long or wide, which it is not. It is soft, sturdy & tends to stay in place.

When walking into any of our bedrooms, this bedspread is the clear focal point; it is crisp, clean and top-notch. We purchased 3 of your bedspreads: 2 for our children and 1 for us. I bought this in the green and absolutely love this bedspread, it is very good quality and looks beautiful on the bed, it is easier to get my bed made in the morning, hardly takes anytime at all. I would recommend this to a friend, I think you would be happy with your purchase. I would purchase this item again with no hesitation.

I'm very pleased with this product. It coordinates perfectly with my LL Bean whale sheets and has a nice quality weight to it.
As some other reviewers have mentioned, the bedspread (mine is Queen sized) seems to run big. Before I washed it, it nearly touched the floor on three sides. After I washed it once, it did shrink some and now it fits perfectly.
As a side note I was able to wash it in normal sized front load washing machine and dry it in my household dryer with no problems. The toothpaste my children smeared on it came right out.

My husband and I own and run Gruene River Guest House in New Braunfels, TX. Since I discovered these bedspreads at L.L. Bean, they are the only ones we use on our beds. We wash them more than most people would, sometimes 3 times a week! When we change the sheets, we change everything, bedspreads and mattress pads too.
These bedspreads hold their color VERY well, little to no shrinkage. They look beautiful on the beds. We get lot's of comments from our guests about the wonderful look and comfort of these bedspreads.
ALSO, you can't beat L.L. Bean for speed in delivery!!! They amaze me every time ;)

Large, beautiful, high quality bedspread. I'm especially happy with the color. I haven't washed it yet but I don't think that it will be a problem because it is oversized for my king sized bed.

This is a great spread. Fit is wonderful for a full bed. Not too hot at night and warm enough to use as extra cover when the nights are cool. The subtle design gives enough interest to make the room look pleasant and cheerful. Highly recommend.

So nice to finally find a bedspread that fits a cal-king oversize mattress. I have an adjustable bed. This covers both sides so no mattress shows. The color is PERFECT!!! A relaxing color that is not to purple, but kind of amethyst. I will be ordering another as a back-up in case they discontinue this color.
