I finally decided to replace the ratty old down comforter that my parents gave me back in middle school (I'm now 35), and I wish I would have done it years ago. This comforter is absolutely amazing!! Toasty warm, light weight, and deliciously cozy - in short, perfect for our bitterly cold Minnesota winters. Not to mention that the quality is truly superb - I can foresee my two-year-old happily using this very blanket when she gets to be my age! Thanks for the quality craftsmanship, LLBean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by slick50 Totally worth it, so comfortable
We ordered this in early Dec, got caught in the back order and it came this week. Totally worth the wait. I was afraid it might be too warm for my husband, he loves it. I do too. Never had anything so lightweight and yet so warm. We live in NH and like a cool bedroom. My previous down comfortable was thinner and not really warm enough for me. It also tiied in beautifully to the cover which was washed and waiting for it. This item was about three times what I have paid in the past and worth the money as well. I was also pleased with the quality of the LL Bean customer service. I called a few times to check on the status of the item and twice they researched it and got back to me with an update. Then they called to make sure the item arrived. I really appreciate it.

I read other reviews on-line and really wanted this baffle box stitch down comforter. I thought I ordered it early enough, in November, but it got back ordered. We received it last week and immediately put it on the bed. It is WONDERFUL! Light enough so we don't have weight on us but so toasty warm. My two cats are even climbing under it to stay cushy. I would highly recommend purchasing it and as my title says - it was so worth the wait!

Very well made product. Too well made, probably. So well done, and so warm that I can't sleep under it. It's just too hot for me. With the thermostat down to 65, and me wearing summer sleep attire in December, I wake up sweating.
My wife, who is often cold at night adores this comforter. We're now in search of something in between.

I researched down comforters for about six months. I finally settled on this one and have been really satisfied with its warmth, weight and comfort! Truly a quality buy. And for the bit of crinkling sound of the feathers, I love it! It's organic folks! Enjoy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MaritimeGirl2 Perfect!! Warm & cozy :)
After a bitter, cold winter this past year, I did a lot of research and looked at independent reviews of down comforters. What was important to us was warmth (but not too warm), lightweight, quality, and no cold spots. I found a study where a group of people tested many quality down comforters, and this Bafflebox (warm) from LLBean came out on top.
We could not be happier with this decision! My husband who is usually always hot, raves about how cozy and perfect this comforter is. After two months of use, he still tells me he loves it. We've had a few frigid nights lately, but were toasty warm under this comforter.
Some people are not happy with the slight crinkling noise the comforter makes, but I think most quality down comforters will make some kind of a noise. It doesn't bother us in the least.
We also purchased a LLBean Sunwashed Percale Comforter Cover. This cover is lightweight and buttery soft cotton. We didn't want a fleece cover because it would have been too warm & heavy, not conducive to year round use. We love this cover too!

I've had this comforter for 3 days and 4 nights, and it's a winner. Lightweight warmth--so much better than my old poly-fill comforter, which was soft but always too hot or too cold. Perfect for Missouri winter. My cat hasn't left the bed yet.....

I researched down comforters online for months and finally decided to purchase this in king size for my king bed. I couldn't be happier. Over the past 10 years I've gone through 2 down comforters made by a well-known company that specializes in hypoallergenic down. They both had cold spots and shrunk down to a queen size after a couple of washings (no joke). I had no idea what I was missing. I feel cheated. This comforter is in a completely different league. It is so warm that I can turn the thermostat down to 58-60F and still be very comfortable. It's very puffy and the quality seems excellent. It's the perfect size too. And, NO cold spots. All I use is a top sheet and this comforter. I also purchased the Pima Percale cover and it is also excellent. I never really cared about my bedding before. My bed is so comfortable now, I actually look forward to going to bed and don't want to get out! I did pay twice as much for this, than I paid for each of my last 2 comforters, but it was entirely worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jig5 Great Comforter
We wanted a comforter that was lightweight but very warm. We live in New England and wanted something to keep us warm at night through the cold winters without having to crank up the heat. It does make a little bit of noise but still worth the purchase. Now my kids want one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grammy717 Just perfect!
No wonder the queen size (which we bought) is sold out! We're in our 60s and getting a little "thin-skinned" in our old age (ha!), and the "warm" is PLENTY warm...but not too much. I can't imagine what the "very warm" is like, unless you turn your thermostat down to 50 (we keep ours at night @ 65 during our Michigan winters). I'm very picky, & I don't understand other reviewer's comments about the noise ... yes there is some, but nothing to prevent my sleep! In fact, I think it's kind of comforting! In any event, I HIGHLY recommend this comforter!
