I've had this comforter for 3 days and 4 nights, and it's a winner. Lightweight warmth--so much better than my old poly-fill comforter, which was soft but always too hot or too cold. Perfect for Missouri winter. My cat hasn't left the bed yet.....

I researched down comforters online for months and finally decided to purchase this in king size for my king bed. I couldn't be happier. Over the past 10 years I've gone through 2 down comforters made by a well-known company that specializes in hypoallergenic down. They both had cold spots and shrunk down to a queen size after a couple of washings (no joke). I had no idea what I was missing. I feel cheated. This comforter is in a completely different league. It is so warm that I can turn the thermostat down to 58-60F and still be very comfortable. It's very puffy and the quality seems excellent. It's the perfect size too. And, NO cold spots. All I use is a top sheet and this comforter. I also purchased the Pima Percale cover and it is also excellent. I never really cared about my bedding before. My bed is so comfortable now, I actually look forward to going to bed and don't want to get out! I did pay twice as much for this, than I paid for each of my last 2 comforters, but it was entirely worth it.

We wanted a comforter that was lightweight but very warm. We live in New England and wanted something to keep us warm at night through the cold winters without having to crank up the heat. It does make a little bit of noise but still worth the purchase. Now my kids want one!

No wonder the queen size (which we bought) is sold out! We're in our 60s and getting a little "thin-skinned" in our old age (ha!), and the "warm" is PLENTY warm...but not too much. I can't imagine what the "very warm" is like, unless you turn your thermostat down to 50 (we keep ours at night @ 65 during our Michigan winters). I'm very picky, & I don't understand other reviewer's comments about the noise ... yes there is some, but nothing to prevent my sleep! In fact, I think it's kind of comforting! In any event, I HIGHLY recommend this comforter!

We've had this comforter for about a year now. We have it covered with L L Bean's Sateen Duvet which is wonderfully soft to the touch. The combination's been on our bed every night throughout all the seasons and so far we are delighted with them.. Some reviews have complained about the "crinkly noise" this comforter; makes ...Well, yes.. I did notice a little noise when I first unpacked it and shook it out. But, the noise isn't really a disturbing noise and it soon becomes subliminal. Neither my wife nor I have ever been woken by it.I think the noise is due to an ultra tight weave used on the inside lining. I say this, because this is the first down or feather comforter we've had that does not leak down!!! To us the little bit of crinkle noise is well worth not having bits of feathers or down floating all over the place!!! That and the excellent overall quality of this comforter makes for a 5 star rating to us!

Love how light weigh yet wonderfully warm this comforter is. My husband and I did find it rather noisy, though, even when it was inside a thick flannel duvet cover. Rather than send it back I decided to run it through the washer and dryer to see if it would reduce the stiffness. It worked like a charm! No more annoying crinkly noise...

I have always bought polyester fiberfill comforters and decided to splurge on this down comforter. Wow, so glad I did! It is lightweight yet extremely warm. I feel like I'm sleeping under a warm fluffy cloud. I was afraid it might be too hot for my husband who isn't as cold as I usually am, but he has had no complaints and loves it as well. As far as being noisy as some reviewers have mentioned I think the noise is very minor. Once the comforter cover is slipped over it it's barely noticeable. The comforter appears to be very well made and truly down proof with no feather leakage at all.

I bought this style( Baffle Box Stitch) comforter in 2006 and loved it, and continue to use it even today, 8 years later. We bought it for a double bed. Now that our guest room has a Queen size bed, I recently decided to order another one in a Queen size. Sadly, I will be returning this tomorrow. As other customers have stated, this comforter is noisy. But, my main disappointment with it is that it is much thinner than the comforter that LL BEAN sold in this style, back in 2006. I think the company that LL Bean is currently getting this comforter from is providing an inferior product. May I suggest that LL BEAN return to their former supplier for this product?

This is warm, weightless and soft. I think it is perfect for winter weather in any cool/cold weather locale. We've had some cold nights, and this morning we woke to a non functioning furnace, but we have been warm every night. We have a light weight wool blanket to supplement, but haven't needed it.
The down seems to be staying evenly distributed. And I haven't had any escaping down. The cover is a little "crinkly". I think this is due to the downproofing in the fabric used for the tick. But the sound isn't intrusive Overall, I think the quality is quite good.
I do wish the comforter was a bit wider though. I don't think it hangs as nicely as I would like off the edge of the mattress, because it should be at least 4 inches wider, IMO. I do appreciate the extra length, though. The width of the comforter does not detract from the sleeping experience. But it makes making the bed harder.
Also, because of the unusual dimensions, I am pretty much limited to Bean comforter covers. I'd like Bean to update its covers, as I wasn't wild about the selection I had to choose from. My final selection is good quality, but not as interesting as what I had had in mind.
But the comforter itself is first rate, and we enjoy sleeping under it. .

You spend a lot of time in your bed, don't hesitate to spend money on it.
Easier said than done. I received this item as a gift and would most likely not have purchased it for myself, BUT now that I have this comforter I would not give it up for the world.
The only downside is you may have trouble getting out of bed.
I should also disclose that I have had this item for less than 2 months, and only during the winter season.
