Rated 5 out of 5 by shopperwholovesquality Can't wait to go to bed!
I have always bought polyester fiberfill comforters and decided to splurge on this down comforter. Wow, so glad I did! It is lightweight yet extremely warm. I feel like I'm sleeping under a warm fluffy cloud. I was afraid it might be too hot for my husband who isn't as cold as I usually am, but he has had no complaints and loves it as well. As far as being noisy as some reviewers have mentioned I think the noise is very minor. Once the comforter cover is slipped over it it's barely noticeable. The comforter appears to be very well made and truly down proof with no feather leakage at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Chooseswisely Not the Comforter it use to be......
I bought this style( Baffle Box Stitch) comforter in 2006 and loved it, and continue to use it even today, 8 years later. We bought it for a double bed. Now that our guest room has a Queen size bed, I recently decided to order another one in a Queen size. Sadly, I will be returning this tomorrow. As other customers have stated, this comforter is noisy. But, my main disappointment with it is that it is much thinner than the comforter that LL BEAN sold in this style, back in 2006. I think the company that LL Bean is currently getting this comforter from is providing an inferior product. May I suggest that LL BEAN return to their former supplier for this product?

Rated 5 out of 5 by sulymo Soft and warm
This is warm, weightless and soft. I think it is perfect for winter weather in any cool/cold weather locale. We've had some cold nights, and this morning we woke to a non functioning furnace, but we have been warm every night. We have a light weight wool blanket to supplement, but haven't needed it.
The down seems to be staying evenly distributed. And I haven't had any escaping down. The cover is a little "crinkly". I think this is due to the downproofing in the fabric used for the tick. But the sound isn't intrusive Overall, I think the quality is quite good.
I do wish the comforter was a bit wider though. I don't think it hangs as nicely as I would like off the edge of the mattress, because it should be at least 4 inches wider, IMO. I do appreciate the extra length, though. The width of the comforter does not detract from the sleeping experience. But it makes making the bed harder.
Also, because of the unusual dimensions, I am pretty much limited to Bean comforter covers. I'd like Bean to update its covers, as I wasn't wild about the selection I had to choose from. My final selection is good quality, but not as interesting as what I had had in mind.
But the comforter itself is first rate, and we enjoy sleeping under it. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sharthur Expensive, but worth it!
You spend a lot of time in your bed, don't hesitate to spend money on it.
Easier said than done. I received this item as a gift and would most likely not have purchased it for myself, BUT now that I have this comforter I would not give it up for the world.
The only downside is you may have trouble getting out of bed.
I should also disclose that I have had this item for less than 2 months, and only during the winter season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MTbeanfan Excellent warmth and quality for the price
Our old comforter had shifted so much it was like sleeping with a sheet with some lumps in it. We have one other comforter from LL Bean and it has been great so we picked up a queen in baffle stitch. Excellent warmth and quality. Very light. This is far better than the one we have from a name brand down dealer and much less. It is holding up very well. Can't go wrong with this from LL bean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by lovebean25 Great purchase!
This is the first down comforter i have ever owned. I was nervous about spending so much on one but was reassured by LL Bean's reputation for quality and the no questions asked return policy. At first the down comforter was noisy and sounded very crinkly compared to a regular quilt or comforter. I think with use the noise has decreased and it does not bother me now. The down stays where it should and i have never seen any coming through the fabric. A word of warning. The warmer version is almost too warm for even the cold western ny winters. If purchasing another i would probably buy the warm version.

Feel like a Queen sleeping under this warm, lofty, soft comforter, next to my King. We have a queen bed and this comforter was sized Q - plenty of comforter there to keep us both well covered. No tug of war for warm blankets anymore, hooray! Plenty big, plenty of loft, plenty of warmth. Luxury uninhibited!

Rated 5 out of 5 Baffle-Box Stitch Down Comforter, Warmer, Queen
Um, best money I ever spent - no point in suffering through cold winter nights. I look forward to going to bed to crawl under it. Not sure why LLB doesn't offer a cover, so had to buy one locally - no issue fitting this easily into a queen size. Plenty large, plenty warm. Winner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by liasophia Very Happy With Quality But It's Noisy!
I am very pleased with the loft of this duvet. It is very thick and lightweight. It is a good level of warmth for us. We have a cool bedroom with two duvets. However, this is the noisiest thing I've ever slept on! The material is so crisp, it makes a noise of its own and then there is a frequent crunching noise of the down within. I will not return it, but it only gets 4 stars from me because of the symphony of noises. It also had quite a down smell when we first got it. I let it air outside for an entire day when I first bought it and even a couple of months in, it still has a very downy smell. Something like the smell of a dog.
