We replaced a down comforter we have had for a few years that we bought from a large department store . Now we know what a down comforter is supposed to be like , this comforter is awesome . Very warm , light , and fluffy . Comes with a nice storage pack .
Bought the warm / queen size and it is true to size and plenty warm for the North East climate . Great value compared to other stores and made in the USA !

Rated 5 out of 5 by JonnyLifeSong Baffle-Box Comforter...
This is a great warm comforter. The quality is outstanding and I'd recomend it to any one. I did some research on the internet before purchasing this so I got some info. on what was out there. I trust LL Bean because of it's reputation not only for quality, but its customer service. I know that in the rare instance something doesn't live up to my expectation, it can be returned no questions asked... easliy, and that my friends counts for a lot. When purchasing anything like this, keep that in mind. LL Bean is going to be there to back it up. All that being said, this is one outstanding comforter and I'd buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sandylady Very warm and few loose feathers
My daughter has been using this for about a month now and LOVES it. She was the last one to get a goose down because she is such a hot sleeper I was worried it would be too much for her. The medium weight is perfect, warm without being too hot. We haven't had any feathers poke through yet as they tend to do on any down product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Stanka Disappointed
We bought this comforter 4 years ago. The biggest issue is that even after 3 years, down still flies in the room when changing the comforter cover. The comforter fabric is not down-proof at all. We had an old LLBean down comforter for many years and never had that problem with it. Secondly, box stiching ends before the edge, so that down DOES shift around the edges. No idea why that is so, and not only on LLBean's comforters. Would be nice to have it sticthed all the way through. Suggestion: it would be good to have loops at the corners, so that the comforter cover could be tied there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sprucefrost Never be cold again!
Feel the cold acutely at night in the winter and my previous down comforter (not LLBean) did not have stitched down baffle boxes and the down was usually around the edges of the comforter, doing no good at all. This comforter is fabulous. Purchased the "warmer" version and it just right with sateen sheets in fall and spring and flannel in the winter. The down stays lofted and in place, making this an extremely warm comforter. Turn my heat way down at night and this is perfect. Only wish I had purchased it much sooner! (p.s. I use the 340-thread-count sateen cover with it and this is an extremely luxurious combination.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by classicsandease a disappointment
This quilt is very warm and would be a 5 star item if it were a few inches wider. I bought the king and it gives about an inch over each side of our bed. It doesn't cover the sides properly. No coverage if you roll over. For such an expensive quilt this is a disgrace. I have always appreciated Bean's quality and am disappointed with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MountainGram Unbelievably warm and cozy!
Let me start by saying, this is the first down comforter I've ever owned. I first bought one from a local department store, which was supposed to be their warmest down. There was hardly any down filling in it! So, I thought the next logical step (should've been my first, but I was trying to save money) was to shop LLBean since they are known for great quality. I purchased the Baffle-Box, warm at first. I was still cold with that one, so I decided to try the Baffle-Box, warmer. It is amazingly full and very warm. I sleep with my window slightly open at night, even when it gets down into the teens and this comforter keeps me warm and cozy! You really do get what you pay for....and this is an EXCELLENT product. So happy with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bonnie3 The best comforter EVER!!!
My Mother bought me this comforter years ago in twin size. Everyone in my house fights over this especially when were sick! It's almost as light as a sheet, but warms up so fast it's amazing! There is truly no other blanket I have ever come across that is cozier or warmer than this one. It is affectionately referred to in our house as "The sick blanket" because that is what we all go for as soon as someone can't warm up. You will NEVER have a cold day or night with this tucked around you!!! I wish I had the extra cash to get a King size for my bed. Someday!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by LoCoinMO Comforter good, storage bag cheap
Night one under the comforter with 20 degree weather outside was great, no issues. It seemed to do well for cold-prone me and hot-prone hubby without either of us having an extreme temperature issue. The size on our queen bed is nice, enough excess for us to each be covered, but not super long. The fabric has a "stiff" sound to it right now - hoping this resolves with time.
I am disappointed at the storage bag provided. I still have my bag from the purchase of my last comforter over 10 years ago, it's this great cotton bag that folds and stores nicely when comforter not inside. The bag that came with this one is a cheap weave similar to a reusable shopping bag (not the nice canvas kind, the cheap kind you get as a freebie). It's stuff and doesn't fold easily, plus I just don't like the fabric for any purpose. For the money spent on the comforter, the bag is quite a disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by taza1234 Love it!
This comforter has given a new dimension to sleeping and napping! It's incredibly warm and light and soft. I've never had a comforter before, and I'm so glad I went with the best. Some reviewers have complained about the "crinkly" sound, but I love that too. It just adds to the luxurious experience. Anyway, the crinkly sound it due to the cotton being so tightly woven that it will keep the down from escaping. This comforter is expensive but worth it! I'm sure it will last a lifetime.
