Rated 3 out of 5 by kitmajor Sling back pack
I like the bandolier-style so it can be worn on either side with a single-padded shoulder strap which is why I ordered, but I did not like the zippers on both sides -- a continuous zipper would have been ideal as the side zippers zip all the way down and about three quarters of the way up, I feel this could lead to items falling out when accessing the pack, especially in a tree stand, thus I returned.

As a retiree, all my hiking is limited to day hikes. Shoulder & spine pain found me often using my standard packs slung over one shoulder at a time. The LL Bean Sling Pack is incredibly efficient & comfortable. I'm extremely happy with this product. My only nit-pic is that I wish the bottom was squared-off instead of sloped. I believe this small change would dramatically improve the packs function. Also, some front pouch options would be welcome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ILBowHunter Comfortable, good size, great fit
This pack is just the right size for a day of bow hunting. Dual zippers allow for easy access from either side of the pack. Very comfortable to wear with pivoting shoulder belt and waist belt. It's also very durable and made I'd high quality materials. I highly recommend this pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WNYOutdoors Hunter's Sling Pack - Highly Recommended
I have been using this pack for about one year now for bowhunting, rifle, and muzzleloading hunts. This is the best day pack I have seen for hunters. Even when fully loaded the pack feels like a natural extension of your body. I cannot imagine going on day hunts without it. Here is what impresses me:
1) The quality of the fabric is outstanding. It keeps my gear dry during rain, snow, sleet, etc.
2) The storage compartments are extremely well thought out. They provide enough room for my GPS, first aid kit, buck knife, two flash lights, a first aid kit, rope, a lunch, and water.
3) The elastic straps on the back of the pack are perfect for holding your backtags and/or hunting licenses
4) The waist strap and back of the pack are made of breathable mesh. This is a very nice design feature since it prevents your back from being covered in sweat if you have to hike a half mile through the woods to your tree stand.
5) The shoulder strap can easily be removed (it clips in and out). This is perfect if you want to hang your pack from a tree stand.
Overall - I highly recommend this pack for day hunts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TheSwede Slim and clever little bag
Good little bag for short day hunts. Not much capacity but enough for a snack and an extra layer of clothes.
The sling style allows you to easily spin the bag around to reach things without having to take it off. It also leaves a shoulder free for the gun sling which is nice.
I have an issue with the bag sling sliding off my shoulder when traversing rough terrain. Could be how I adjust my straps but some kind of rubberized non slip on the shoulder strap would probably have helped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TWILITER GREAT HUNTING PACK
I purchashed this pack in September and have used it during both our Michigan archery and firearms seasons. I could not be happier with it's performance. I thought at first it might be a little small but it's capacity suprised me. The location of the zippers make it easy to access items while it is hanging from a hook on stand. The one strap sling and ease of carrying seperate it from anything I have ever used. A heck of a good idea. Also the zipper pulls have luminous thread that show up when you hit it with a flashlight. This helped me find my pack one night after I left it at the base of my tree to track a deer. Keep up the good work. You will not be dissapointed with this pack.

This was the perfect pack for me, it has room for everything I need on a deer stand (any bigger would be to much stuff). Very well built and comfortable. Just wish it had a seperate pocket for a water bottle or a place to attach one

Havn't used it hunting yet. But viewing it up close and personal I can see its potential in the deer woods. If I had some input in the design, I would have added a folding knife pouch, mid sternum on the sling strap. And, probably 2 to 4 plastic "D" rings for attaching items, such as a drag rope and/or a water bottle via a small carabiner. But I will probably remedy its percieved shortcomings with my handy-dandy stiching awl. See y'all in Aroostook County this November and be safe.

Upon arrivial, I was impressed by the quality and functionality. For my outdoor activities, this pack will allow me to transport my supplies for an enjoyable day in the Northwoods whether it be hunting, fishing, atv riding or just a walk in the woods. I use it now in my pickup to carry necessary items while traveling the roads during the Michigan winter months.
