One of the seams unraveled. Bean sent an exchange immediately. I love this comfortable, warm and NICE vest. Great for 3 seasons. Have the yellow/khaki and may get another in a dark color next fall. Would love to have the option of XXS size for my 105" x 5' frame. All in all - great everyday vest.

I am a warm climate person and I purchased this for a trip to cold weather. I wanted my arms to move around freely. The down kept my body warm. I wore this inside and outside and my temperature kept consistent. I ordered a medium and it ran slightly larger for me, but I do not have large breasts. I am typically around a size 8 to 10 and slightly taller than average female. This one gave me room to grow, but I hope I don't! Lots of pockets and zippers. The quality was top of the line. Can't wait to wear it again!

This vest is great - it looks good and fits true to size. I am tall and often find Bean products too short - while this one is obviously meant to be a shorter stye, I didn't find myself tugging on it all day - in other words, it felt right (I did wear a longer shirt beneath it to make sure all was covered). I wore it clay shooting and the thick padding made it comfortable, but I also wore it around an upscale hotel over a turtleneck and it looked sporty and nice. I even received several compliments on it. The golden color is a kind of a "muddy mustard" and looks good with greens and purples/berry colors. The vest is also warm with lots of good pockets.

I bought this vest in dark khaki because the other colors were gone. The relationship I developed with this garment is quite interesting. Originally I intended to return it thinking it is clashing with my skin tone. It does in a way. Indoors it is a dark khaki sort of mushroom brown tone.. but when I walked outside it appeared yellow with strong greenish undertone and you could see the oil and feel it. I really love it's color and the way it looks indoors. But "couldn't" live with the yellow. So I was going to pack and send it back.. But I couldn't. Every time I laid my eyes on it - I cherished it - until eventually I decided to keep it. I add reds, pinks, blues, animal print with it and it works great. It is warm, comfortable and versatile. (The freshly oiled look that was noticeable in the beginning dissipated after few days). I own the long sleeve coat in chocolate brown too and love it. Am 105 lbs and 5' and ordered XS. I Have enough room for sweatshirts or sweaters underneath. I bought my husband the chocolate brown vest in XL and he loves it and looks great when wearing it.. I would like to communicate a thought to LLBean: it will be interesting to see the vest in blue and black. The thing I'd really like to see is a stronger 2 tone combinations in blue and black. The dark khaki that I own thankfully has brown trim which adds a lot. I think it could have handled more of the brown, maybe on the pocket flaps.. The chocolate brown vest could benefit from some shade of red brown trim, a black vest could be charmed with a blue or purple hue and a blue vest with some khaki trim.. Hope you can hear me LLBean..

This particular vest promises to do what I need: not have branches, thorny vines, etc stick to it when I am wandering around the woods in search of Geocaches. The handwarmer pockets have nice lining, the collar stays up and the zipper is heavy-duty enough, although it would be nice if it could be unzipped from the bottom to ease the strain there when sitting down. Overall, I would recommend it heartily.

I've had this vest for somewhere between 8-10 years. I wear it almost every day in the winter and it's held up fantastically. I'm 5'9 and and wear an XL, which I layer above a heavy sweatshirt and I'm good to go. I've been considering getting the jacket version, but this has served me so well I'm not sure I need to!

I love the unusual features on this vest---lots of pockets with snaps and zippers, as well as loops on the outer pocket snaps, which can be used to hold gloves or keys. The vest itself is very well-made, warm, cozy, true to size, and flattering. It hits me at a good spot (high hip) and the collar is soft against my skin. I haven't had any problems with lint as some reviewers mentioned, but a quick brushing should handle any dust or dirt. I ordered the khaki in XS and it will go with lots of colors, so I plan to get lots of wear out of this beautiful vest. Once again, LLBean has a winner!!

Had my eye on this vest for a few months and finally took advantage of the 15% off combined with coupons from my LLBean VISA. No regrets. I love how this vest looks on me. I love how warm it keeps me. I love the dual pocket action. I love the color. I wear it every day. I love this vest.

I was trying to get a nice warm vest that I can wear over just about anything. Yes, it's very cozy and warm. Love that. I got the Loden color and that goes with my blues, purples and even pink. My only problem with the vest is that it really picks up lint and dust. My vest looks like it's gone through a dust storm. Wish that it didn't attract so much hair and lint, so as a result I wear this mostly at home. It's a very sturdy and stiff vest, and needs to be broken in to. Can't wear this to dressier outings. Otherwise, it's great. It is bulky. Fit is true.
