Rated 5 out of 5 by BillZoutdoors Warm, function able & comfortable
I have always worn heavy weight Malone pants for hunting, and outdoor activities in the winter. When we visited the store in Freeport this fall,I decided to try a pair of these bibs. I am so glad I choose these bibs. They have been real warm in cold temperatures, pockets are functional the bibs keep out the drafts and are comfortable to move around in. The quality is very good, and I expect them to last many years. I prefer wool clothing for hunting as I love the traditional look, it is a quiet fabric ,and it keeps you warm even if it gets wet. Used with good under garments, this item easily could go sub zero!

Rated 5 out of 5 by lawdy great bibs
I ordered these a week ago and received them just in time for the cold snap. I have had knee surgeries from being a distance runner for years and my knees are sensitive to the cold. These keep my legs warm and are very quiet in the woods. As a longbow hunter I appreciate quiet and wear nothing but wool. I love these bibs and hope they never get discontinued. I would like to see them in a 24-26 ounce wool along with the insulation. That would make them incredible in a sub-zero deer stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Seadriller Great ATV overalls
I was going hunting in Haynesville Maine and was going to be doing some ATV riding as well and needed the best coveralls for the task.
These coveralls did the job, I was warm all day hunting and on a ATV ride from Haynesville to Island Falls and back at speeds of 30 mph I was amazed at the comfort and warmth. Liked the zipper on the front?.very handy!
After seeing my sons Carhatts get wet ice fishing and freezing last season I thought this would be the better product overall.
It was the right choice.
Keep up the good work!

Rated 4 out of 5 by GunnysMum Not for women
These were very well made and I had hoped they would be the answer to not having to spend another hunting season freezing to death in my deer stand. I am not a man and these are way to straight to accommodate a woman's figure. At 5'6"/118 I am not bulky but the Medium was too loose everywhere except in the hips which would have been too tight with fleece pants underneath. My search continues for a way to stay warm waiting for the White-tail to wander by.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TamaraC Hubby and Dad LOVE them!
My dad has wanted a wool hunting suit for years so when I saw these on the daily sale I snagged a pair for him and for my hubby. We've had over 100" of snow so far this year and weeks of temps only getting to 5F. The guys have been warm while shoveling and plowing and wear them every chance they get! Hubby normally wears an XL #6'4" 260lbs pant size 36/38x32# and the XL was snug on him but he still has room for long underwear and a sweatshirt. They've both worn them a ton this season and they are holding up great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hikemaster Toasty Warm and Plenty of Nice Pockets
Further Pros: Lots of nice pockets that are deep enough or have a snap opening. That is important when working outside in the cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hikemaster Blocks Piercing, Biting Wind
PRO: I bought these pants a few months ago and was prepared for the 14 degree temperatures and snow storms we have already had here in central Ohio this winter. For example, the wind was biting through my legs last Saturday going out and feeding the stock and causing an awful pain in my bad right leg. Then I went in and put these pants on and they heated my leg right up and I went back outside and didn't feel a thing. I have been wearing them every day with a sweatshirt underneath. These keep my leg and back warm, and this gives me the arm movement to bend down and milk the cow. Also, I agree the lining is great to keep the wind out and your skin away from the wool, which is needed because nothing is as warm as wool. These pants are also soft and flexible, great for bending, unlike some stiffer fabrics other insulated coveralls use.
CON: For a woman, the fly zip marks them as a man's pant, but I can't find anything comparable at any other retailer that is as warm. It would be nice if they had more back coverage and came up higher in the front and back, more like a vest would cover. The suspenders are made of elastic, which is nice because it stretches, but the metal fasteners must be a little loose, because I am constantly tightening and pulling them up again because the elastic slips out and puts them to the longest length again and then the pants drag in the mud. I did make them shorter, too, because they drug on the ground over my steel toe boots, but that is also probably because they are actually for men.
All in all, I agree this is a winter necessity. Either have aching, cold, chapped legs all winter or get toasty warm pants like these.

I was thumbing through an LLB catalog and watching a tv weather show on a last year storm -- 36" of snow and power out for nine days!. I remembered how cold I was. I looked down at the catalog and saw these! This year, I'll be ready:-)

This is the third pair we've bought within our family. The first pair was for my husband that I bought over 15 years ago. He still wears them every year for hunting! Now both my sons have their own pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by saltwtrfshrmn Not just good bibs-GREAT bibs!
I bought these wool bibs last December prior to the last week of muzzleloader season in Maine. I originally went in to the Freeport store to buy the Performance wool pants but sizes were limited so the salesperson recommended these. Knowing Beans guarantee, I bought them; I wanted to see how they would hold up/perform on a late season, cold Maine deer hunt. What I wore over the next eight days blew me away! I wore them every day in -5 degree F to +10 F, snow, driving wind, cold, still hunting, tracking, stand hunting for HOURS and not once was I uncomfortable. Needless to say I did not return them on my way through Freeport on my home! For the rest of the winter I wore them ice fishing, snowshoeing and everything else I did outside. The thinsulate lining is a great feature; there is not too much noise when moving, unlike some other lined wool pants, which was a reason I was apprehenssive at first. I used them tracking and still hunting so noise is an important factor but these were fine. My complaints are the unlined bib portion-but not really a complaint because that is worn under my coat so not an issue. And that I need to get them hemmed up maybe 1/2-1"-I'm an odd size- but I wouldn't let those hold anyone back from buying them. I am very tough on my gear and don't want to have to worry about a product not holding up to the worst of conditions or worse yet failing in them-I do not worry about these bibs doing that. I look forward to more winters with these bibs and abusing them even more, I know they will hold up fine. These make me want the temperature dropping and heading into the cold Maine woods or out on the ice!
