I thought they would be shiny but they are just fine. Ivory color goes well with my Sea Ice floral circle coverlet. Looks just wonderful together. No wrinkles if you take them right out of the dryer. They are very soft but not shiny like satin. If they were, I'd have returned them. Happy with my purchase.

We're on our second set, Blue Grass. Issue developed with first set almost immediately. We were very careful: washed in cold (specs suggest warm), absolutely no bleach. Called Bean, great customer service as always: exchanged set. Took a little longer (5 washings?), but problem has reappeared. Not sure what's happening, but white splotches, spots, etc., appearing. Is dye fading? At this point, not sure if we have the energy to return and exchange and have same problem arise a third time. Looking at other reviews, doesn't seem to be a common issue, but it's happened to us twice. Very surprised and disappointed, especially since otherwise we love the feel of the sheets.

LLBean has always delivered high quality merchandise, so I was willing to spend extra money to get great sheets. These are terrible! For 100% cotton, they are the scratchiest sheets I've ever had to sleep on. I washed them before I put them on the bed, and I was a little worried when they came out of the dryer scratchy. I decided to try them for a night, but nearly got up to change them in the middle of the night.
It seems like there's some kind of wrinkle-resistant coating on these that causes them to be scratchy. When I'm in bed, I care more how they feel than how they look, and these feel terrible.
These will definitely go back immediately.

I AM ON MY SECON SET. I AM STILL IMPRESSED, THEY FIT BEAUTIFULLY, I HAVE HAD NORE EXPENSIVE SHEETS THAT WERE NOWHERE NEAR AS LARGE AS THESE QUEEN SIZE, AND THE KING PILLOW CASES ARE ALSO VERY LARGE, HOPE THEY NEVER DECIDE TO CUT BACK ON SIZE, THAT WILL RUIN THEM. THEY ARE SOFT AND FEEL GOOD, THE ONLY COMPLAINT WAS WITH THE MONAGRAMING, IT IS VERY SMALL AND THE WHITE ON THE YELLOW, WELL, YOU JUST CANT SEE IT., BUT I LOVE THE SHEETS, THANK YOU

Pink solid sheet set: I purchased these sheets and pillow cases a year ago and I rotate 3 sets of sheets, washing 1 set each week. The pink color recently started fading unevenly, and part looked yellowish. I returned them, no problem.

My sheets & comforter cover set were 400 thread ct, and the flat sheet developed a slit after many,many washings. I returned it and llbean replaced it! No questions asked. Do not be afraid to shop here, they are the best.

I have a standard size (double) set that is 2 years old. Fitted sheet just developed a little shred area, and several months ago I had to mend the corner seams. Otherwise, I like the fabric. Unlike other customers, I have no complaints about scratchiness. These sheets are on my bed every night, so maybe 2 years is a realistic life of product. I have ordered sheets from LL Bean for MANY years because of the quality and do not usually encounter premature wear when sheets are 300+ thread count.

I have purchased and loved these sheets over many years. I was very disappointed in the king sheets and pillow cases I ordered several months ago. Like another reviewer, upon opening the packaging I was surprised by the gritty, rough texture of the sheets. I actually went to the LL Bean website to make sure I hadn't ordered the wrong items! Thinking they might have have been affected by the wrapping, I washed them and used a drier sheet as I have done with sheets previously. They were still rough and definitely not the same finish as the sateen sheets I have from years past. After several more washings and using two drier sheets each time, they are not sateen, but serviceable as a backup set of sheets. I am very disappointed to see what was a truly great product go by the wayside. I will have to look elsewhere for sheets in the future.

I have purchased many sets of these sheets over the past few years. They are soft, smooth and launder beautifully. I haven't had any problems with any of them until recently the material of one of our fitted floral sheets began to shred. The pillowcases and top sheet were like new. Since the sheets had not used that often, I sent them back to LL Bean, even though they were probably five years old. To my surprise I received a new set of the current floral pattern, which is lovely, to replace the set I had returned. In this day and age, it's so nice to have a company like LL Bean that really stands behind its merchandise. Thank you for great customer service!

I also purchased the solid color, not the floral. Several months ago I purchased the matching duvet covers (3 as a matter of fact) and love them. They are thick and soft. However, when I received these (flat, fitted, and pillow cases) even though it indicates they are the same 340 thread count, made in Portugal, they feel so thin and not at all the same quality as the duvet covers. They seem more like thin polyester sheets. VERY disappointed. Returning.
