Rated 5 out of 5 by SPShopper I like these!
These sheets are comfortable to sleep in. They are smooth, soft, cool, and do not wrinkle much if you pull them from the dryer ASAP. So far they have been through 5 washings and have retained everything I like about them. I have a whole cloth off-white quilt that has trapunto stitching all over. Using the paisley floral sheet set jazzed up the guest room bed's appearance quite a bit. The bed has a dust ruffle with a tiny taupe gingham check and I think the paisley floral and taupe gingham look like they were made to go together

I?ve never used expensive sheets before. I was using some sheets which I probably bought at a local store for the lowest price over 6 years ago. I did some research and decided on these because I wanted the softness of sateen rather than the crispness of percale.
As soon as I opened the package and felt these sheets they felt like a polyester or nylon shower curtain? that kind of tough and slightly rough texture? definitely not something I?d want to be sleeping on.
After unfolding them though they felt less like a shower curtain due to being thinner than one. They felt more like silky smooth.
Since there is no time limit for refunds I decided to wash them and try them anyway to see if they would soften up but I don?t really see any difference at all.
Soft is definitely not the word I?d use to describe these. If I didn?t know which ones I ordered I would have guessed that these were the ones that were supposed to be crisp. When I run my hand over the bed it is definitely rough and not soft. All of my cotton T-shirts and sleepwear pants are softer than these sheets.
I decided to order some flannel sheets to compare.
Right away the flannel is much softer. It smells strongly of some kind of chemical that makes me choke, but it went away with a wash. It?s quite thick. The flat sheet is like a thin blanket. I?m worried that even using the fitted flannel sheet during the summer might be too hot. I?ll try to make an update during the summer on this.
As far as the sateen sheet goes, all the higher thread count seems to do is make the sheets denser, as you would logically expect from more threads per inch. It doesn?t seem to improve the sheets in any other way though. In fact, during summer the lightness of the lower thread count may even be preferable.

We bought our first set of 340-Count Cotton Sateen bed linens (sheets and pillowcases) about 2 years ago, and they have been used daily ever since. They are durable and extremely comfortable. Nothing beats cotton for comfort!

These sheets are perfect! I have spent literally THOUSANDS of dollars looking for a soft, durable, quiet, comfortable, pretty sheet. I have shopped around the world. This is my third or fourth set of sateen sheets from LL Bean over the past decade and I love them! They are absolutely wonderful.

We loved these sheets when they arrived, and still love the color Lakeside. We also love the quality of the fabric. But, we were disappointed to discover that they faded in various places -- unrelated to any sun exposure. Sadly, we're going to return them.

I am very disappointed in these sheets. I purchased the pillow cases, flat and fitted sheets for my daughter. After the second washing spots of color faded on the sheets. For the high price of these sheets I expected MUCH better quality.I would not buy them again and would not recommend them.

On the pricey side of sheets but have held up beautifully through many washes. I still have these from college almost 5 years ago and feel just as soft. We have been using my college full sheet as a top sheet with this hot weather on our king sized bed (tacky, I know). Will be purchasing a king size sheet soon.

I have purchased fancy sheets from department stores. They all come out of the dryer looking like a wadded up kleenex. These sheets come from the dryer looking good! The hems are not curled up. And they are so soft and cool. I have owned them over a year and as I have three sets, each set is washed once every three weeks. They are holding up just great!

Love these flat sheets. Smooth, soft and generous sizing. Cannot imagine better quality. I bought white. And am truly pleased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mgmerritt Great softness, but hems look a mess with creases
Love these 3 year old solid white sheets--so soft and comfortable. EXCEPT that 2 of my 3 top sheets and 1 of my 8 pillow cases have developed seemingly permanent creases and folds within the deep hem--which is of course what always shows. I have tried everything, including taking them to my dry cleaners/laundry and having them steam the hems without folds, but as soon as they are washed and dried, the same folds reappear. This is driving me crazy. HELP, LL, do you have any solutions to my sheet problems? (P.S., I have no issues with my supima flannel sheets, just the sateen ones, and not all of those.) :-(
