Rated 5 out of 5 by Cmwayner SO comfy
This pillow puffs up very well, so it gives me great support for side sleeping. I had no neck pain after using it for two nights, and tent camping is usually hard on my neck. It's just the right size for camping and for storage, and it rolls up to about 1/3 its full size. The cinching drawstring is easy to use.
Definitely wash and dry it first for maximum loft.

The pillow compresses into a small pouch which would be great for camping. It is a little small (even when fluffed) to be a comfortable pillow, but it is functional. The material is attractive and looks durable. My teen daughter used it at camp without complaint.

So I bought this now that I am aging and find the nalgene with clothes wrapped around it not so comfy any more. The pillow is very well made. I wish it was firmer. I understand it is not a temperpedic or fru-fru down pillow, but a bit more firmness it would be a 5+. Great concept. Almost great execution. The scrap therma rest material is nice, but it does flatten as the night goes on for there is no air to hold it like the sleeping pad. If I could fill the center with some air, it would be perfect. Better than inflatables. Better than taking the wife's down pillow. Certainly better than using clothes.

What a snazzy, functional little pillow this is. It's large enough to be comfortably useful and small enough to be portable; and it's attractive. I haven't had to wash it yet but I'm sure it will come out just fine.

Well designed, lightweight, compact. Made for a more comfortable night's sleep on a backpacking trip.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bendite Expensive for chunks of foam
Shame on me for not reading the description better but I was expecting more of the Thermarest inflatable system that they are known for. This pillow is just chunks of foam. They take a bit to expand. Support was OK once expanded but once you set your head on the pillow you hear noise from the foam compressing. I just couldn't get to sleep. Also, once expanded, it was hard to compress the pillow into a small size again.

My wife and I purchased these pillows in preparation for an overnight kayaking trip with the Outdoor Discovery School. These pillows are not thick enough on their own, but when you place a stuff sack under them, they provide enough additional comfort to justify bringing them along. They also will make great car pillows on those long trips to the next outdoor adventure.

I purchased this pillow for camping. I needed something that wouldn't take up much space in a suitcase as we flew to our destination. It really is amazing how the pillow fluffs up with a little shake and some time. The cover is a soft fabric with a nice colored pattern. It fits in the hood of my mummy bag perfectly. By the middle of the night it decompressed quite a bit from sleeping on it. Overall it is a whole lot better than trying to sleep on a balled up fleece/t-shirt or an inflatable pillow.

Just took this pillow on a backpacking trip, and it met my expectations! I know a lot of people probably think i am silly for taking a pillow, but i must have a pillow to sleep. There were mixed reviews so I just didn't know what to expect; however, it fluffed up well and was comfortable. It is light, but does take up quite a bit of room, but it is worth the sacrifice! I have tried other pillows, and I wasn't satisfied...most are too flat. This pillow is a keeper!

We've purchased 2 of these and they are great. I was leary about the first purchase based on one review I read ("like sleeping on a bag of mice" or something to that effect). The key is once you open the pillow, you need to give it some time to "fluff up". Came in handy for some family sleep overs too. Fairly convenient size and shape for packing, especially when you have a small car and space is tight.
