Rated 5 out of 5 by john1069 Good pant, good price
This is a good all round summer pant for parties or casual wear.
I would suggest the manufacturer eliminate the sewn in netting. I am always dressed before I haul on slacks and my legs sometimes catch on the netting when I put them on. I have a 29-30" inseam and was going to have them tailored. I changed my mind. The 31" which is shipped is close enough and hangs well. Sizing is slightly on the small side, so order up. These pants are as well or better made than a similar pair from a different manufacturer. These pants cost 35% less and are a good value. Other manufacturer take notice! How about an additional color like grey or blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PeterB At last, tropical-weight pants again for hiking.
For more than 5 years I've used my pair of LL Bean tropical weight pants for extended walks, like the Camino de Santiago. I've looked for a similar pair for years. Now, I have it in the new tropical-weight pants I just bought from LL Bean. They are equally light-weight for warm weather hiking, and the material, construction and multiple pockets actually seem superior.

I need a higher rise in crotch so pants do not ride so low.

I was looking for a pant that was light, would dry fast and was comfortable. The Tropicwear pant filled the bill. We just returned from the Florida keys and had a few days of cool weather and these pants were just great.

I found the crotch inseam to be to short. Nice pants.

Great "tropic weight"--sometimes Bean's "tropic" adjectives fit Maine better than North Carolina. I'm 6'3". The 31" inseam, regular, X-large is perfect and, until I lose weight some day, the elastic waist is also a great benefit. Love it all but puzzled by the sewn-in mesh briefs--what's their purpose again? I took scissors to them and now I'm really happy.

So disappointed the design changed.
Full and baggy at hips. Completely different fit from the pair we got a few years ago.

My husband has lost a lot of weight and needed pants that did not feel heavy on his smaller frame. These pants are light in weight and soft on the skin. They are good protection from the sun as he burns easily.
The elastic at the waist gives him a comfortable fit.

My husband ordered these pants for the hot weather in Colorado, and plans to take them to the humid weather in San Antonio, TX. The first thing he did was take them to a tailor to remove the sewn in underwear and have them hemmed up. He normally wears a 36/30 and ordered a size large, but the pants were too long. A medium would have been too tight fitting. Otherwise, he thinks they are comfortable and will pack great for trips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Geologistmitch Bought two more pair!
The first pair worked great during a New Mexico 6 week field camp. These were worn almost every day, as they were lightweight, protected from the sun and dried quickly. They also protected my skin from serious cactus abrasion. The envy of my colleagues. Before leaving for another 6 week expedition in Utah I purchased two more pair. Also got the shirt with the first pair, and it was awesome too. Hope they all hold up, since very lightweight.(which is good!) I know LL Bean will stand behind their products so I'm not too worried.
