I sure wish you sold these with regular side pockets (no cargo pockets). There are plenty if us out here who want truly light weight khakis that we can wear everywhere when it is warm (like here in South Florida). None on the market!

The new Tropicwear pants have a button front rather than a snap, don't have much elastic in the waist, are baggy and seem to ride lower on my waist. They don't compare with past orders and I would not want anymore of them.

Really like the pants. Only minor issue is the mesh underwear inside the pants which is annoying but easy to cut out

Rated 5 out of 5 by cepaea repeat order on hiking pants, this time for hubby
These pants do not disappoint. Quick dry, comfortable, lots of pockets to store things in. Been hiking for 15 years in all weather and recommend these pants. They take bug off and sun screen spray and come clean in the wash everytime.

These comfortable pants are perfect for lightweight summertime travel with a size-medium weighing only 12 oz (341g). You can eliminate underwear by relying on the soft and sensibly-designed (best I've encountered) mess liner. The quick drying material is great for recovering from sudden rain showers and for nightly washing. Well-placed pockets are ideal for handy and secure storage of electronic devices, passport and wallet. The deep pockets, along with zippered and Velcro closures, make you less vulnerable to pesky pickpockets. For travel aboard I carry 3 pairs of these pants, 4 equally lightweight shirts, compact toiletries, and a few other essentials in a carry-on backpack that weighs less than 20 lbs. Ditch those ridiculously heavy denim jeans and enjoy more carefree travel.

My husband really likes these pants. Didn't need the mesh lining though and could have used in a shorter inseam length, but we have had a tough time finding and will make do. Perfect cut and fabric weight. Plan to take on next trip to China and wear hiking the Catalina Mountains in town.

Rated 5 out of 5 by john1069 Good pant, good price
This is a good all round summer pant for parties or casual wear.
I would suggest the manufacturer eliminate the sewn in netting. I am always dressed before I haul on slacks and my legs sometimes catch on the netting when I put them on. I have a 29-30" inseam and was going to have them tailored. I changed my mind. The 31" which is shipped is close enough and hangs well. Sizing is slightly on the small side, so order up. These pants are as well or better made than a similar pair from a different manufacturer. These pants cost 35% less and are a good value. Other manufacturer take notice! How about an additional color like grey or blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PeterB At last, tropical-weight pants again for hiking.
For more than 5 years I've used my pair of LL Bean tropical weight pants for extended walks, like the Camino de Santiago. I've looked for a similar pair for years. Now, I have it in the new tropical-weight pants I just bought from LL Bean. They are equally light-weight for warm weather hiking, and the material, construction and multiple pockets actually seem superior.

I need a higher rise in crotch so pants do not ride so low.
