Rated 5 out of 5 by type981 my favorite shorts
I now have three pairs of these, as they are officially part of my summer "uniform". They are comfortable, rugged, dry fast, and the pockets hold all kinds of stuff. I hate it when chilly weather forces me to put them away with my sandals and polo shirts.

It's difficult to find shorts that are actually "short" for hiking/climbing.
These are perfect, with the right leg coverage, but without binding up your knees and legs as you climb. They are also incredibly well-constructed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by chrelmpud Great pair of shorts!
The color, weight, fit, and length of these shorts are perfect. The zippered fly is an important feature for me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by ageingguy almost perfect
it's a personal thing, but i don't like the hidden elastic waist
thingy. It makes it too
tight. I've tried to cut it out......not such a good idea. Other-
wise they are perfect for me. Until I can figure out how to
remove the elastic, all the tension is on the top of the zipper,
which will eventually break.

These shorts look great and are comfortable to wear no matter what your adventure. First time I put them on they felt like a pair I had already worn for a few years.

Excellent shorts for hiking, biking and any outdoor activity. light weight, deep pockets, zippered pockets to ensure that you don't lose car keys, change or wallet during biking especially. I've found car keys on trails before. These pants will prevent that from happening.

Rated 2 out of 5 by TechnoDad Weird fitting
I ordered these in my usual medium. They were really baggy with really large leg holes so I tried a small. They had a better overall fit but the waist was too small. Returned them both separately so was charged $13 in shipping costs. The LL Bean Signature line has better fitting (for non-technical clothing) but not many choices. I've always been pleased with LL Bean stuff in the past and have rarely had to return items.
