I had purchased a pair of these pants for myself, and a pair for my husband, several years ago. I gave mine away a while back (I don't know what I was thinking), and have since retired and fallen in love with hiking. So, I ordered another pair, and I am very pleased with them. I would say that they tend to run a little large, though.

They are exactly what I was looking for. Very comfortable, looks great, and legs are really easy to unzip as the day gets warmer and I switch to the shorts. They run a little bit big, as I usually need a medium in most clothing items and the M was too big. Small fits great! Length is good too; they are a standard 30" length.
The only improvement I would make if I could would be to add a little bit of stretch to the butt/hips/belly part of the pants, just to allow for easier movement on very active days. These are pants you can get active in!

Wish I could write a good review for these pants. Pretty nice design and material; has a belt; zippers seem to work well. But the cut of the pants is not generous enough around the butt and thighs to allow for active climbing up and down - and I want them for hiking in the mountains. This is the kind of cut you used to find on cheaper pants - it does not feel right from the minute you put them on. No doubt others with different builds don't have this problem. I am pretty much a 10-12 of average weight, 5'6", and they just don't feel good. Will be sending them back tomorrow.

I've always avoided the zip shorts/long leg pants, thinking they looked kind of dorky. But I needed them finally for a trip to Costa Rica, so I decided to bite the bullet.
I was very surprised that the leg zippers didn't bulge out and look unsightly, the zippers moved smoothly, the fabric is great, and the overall look is good. And well, I was wrong. They are great, and so practical!

I'm a tall size 16 so I thought by ordering a size 18-20 I would have plenty of room to stand, bend, sit, etc. in these pants. That was a mistake. They are cut skimpy and tight. While the construction is good, they are not the fit I was hoping for. They also were not as long as described on the website. They are closer to 30" in length, not 32" as described.

I tried them on after receiving them and could not get the legs on, so back to LL Bean they went that very day.
Please carry these in sizes that are larger.

If you have a fairly flat shape, these slacks may fit you. I usually take a 12 in slacks, which would be an M. In an M I felt like a sausage. The upper part of the pants fit very snuggly, the waist came to about an inch and a half below my real waist, and the leg zipper area was tight. The fit was very uncomfortable. I tried them on and I returned them immediately.

Cool comfort for these hot summer days. Only regret is that I had to shorten myself. Wish that service were offered by LL Bean.

I wore these pants for the full 500 miles of the Camino across Northern Spain - two pairs worn on alternate days. Lots of pocket space including a hidden zipper pocket for cash and credit cards (didn't use my money belt at all!). Pants (hand) washed like a dream and, most importantly, dried overnight every time. These will be my go-to travel pants forever.

I'm 5'3" so finding pants that are the right length is challenging. These were perfect. They sit mid waist so they were comfortable for long hikes. The shorts length was a little long for me but still worked!
